Independence Village

My husband and I are very happy here! It's very quiet we have the option on whether we choose to socialize with other tenants or not. The staff has been supportive, professional, knowledgeable, and kind. We are so pleased to have staff of such caliber. We have been here for 4 months & continue to love every minute of it. The residents are very nice and welcoming yet allow us our privacy. So glad to be a part of this community

I'm very happy here. My only issues is the smell of cigarettes in my apt. People are friendly people all try to help if you need it. It's safe quit.

I have family and friends with disabilities that this place is good for income

I have been bullied 3 times. Assist manager is rude. Yells at people & talks down to people. Things only get fixed if the feel it is necessary.

Independence Village has a problem with roaches and bed bugs! They did over a decade ago and still do. We’re moving our mom out as soon as possible. I moved out in 2012 and will never move back and she moved out in 2011. I feel like with her dementia and the lady who was in charged didn’t disclose everything.

Management never available. AC filters supposed to be changed every 3 mths. Been 7 mths! Sun deck on 3rd floor been closed over 3 yrs. False advertisement on website. Hallway carpets nasty even after shampoo. Don't care about residents.

The worst place my grandmother ever has lived. This place is not safe, there is no security and often things go missing or strange people wander the halls sleeping in stairways and trying random doors. I have tried to run them off but they come back. These apartments also allow felons, and it takes an act of god to get work orders done. I am glad she just moved from there but I could see why elderly and single women might be scared to live there, The new manager is also rude and has no empathy for anyone. The sad part is there is very limited places that are affordable for seniors and disabled persons. New all around management is definitely needed, however maintenance people are decent just overworked and the place is falling apart.
