Front Porch RV Park

The owners went out of their way to help me settle in. There's lots of shade trees all around the park. The pool is great, as is the game room. The other guests are friendly. It's a comfortable place to stay short or long term. I highly recommend Front Porch RV Park.

The property itself is kept really nice sure did enjoy the pool and the club house that has pool tables and darts. Everyone that stays there were super friendly,,, also I felt very comfortable and safe, no trouble at all there..
I would definitely recommend to stay here if your in Merkel which is not far from Abilene
And a plus everything is included in your monthly rent!

I highly recommend this campground. It is a short distance from the highway so it was very convenient for me. I was greeted by a friendly staff person, and I picked a site that was suited to the needs of my RV. I had full services - electric, water, and sewer hookups. I was impressed by the well groomed landscaping. I enjoyed the many trees and pond. The residents were friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed an evening at the campfire with them. Although I don't have one, pets are allowed. A swimming pool and game room is a bonus.

We love it here!!!! We pulled with our Motorhome no problems at all coming in. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. Very helpful and very professional. We love staying out here. 2 ponds, kids can ride their bikes. A club house with pool tables, meet for football games or any functions that is going on. The pool is very nice and relaxing. WiFi is great!!

Clean, convenient, very quiet and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Plus the mostly long-term campers gave it a safe and homey feel. This was just what we needed, was late Friday and we didn't have a reservation. I'll be staying there again when in the area.

Texted to make a reservation. The owner replied within a half hour and set up our stay. When we arrived we texted that we were here. He called immediately and said that one of the girls would be by to show us to our site. She drove up as I was hanging up the phone with him. We set up, turned on the a/c and left to find food. While we were gone we got a call asking if everything was good at our site. That’s what I call good service!

Site #7 was long enough for our 43’ fifth wheel, with plenty of room for slides on both sides and room to park our long bed dually. Water, sewer and electric were all good. The sewer was not threaded, so we used an adapter, and we used a 90 deg elbow on the water spigot to make attaching our regulator easier. All amenities are at the back of the site. Wi-Fi was good.

This park is right off the highway, and is amazingly quiet. There is a pond, swimming pool, and game room with clean restrooms. There are trees around the pool and pond. Our site was open and sunny, which allowed our satellite dish to work correctly.

We did an overnight, and will stay again when headed this direction.

TIP: Skeet’s Texas Grill has an amazing chicken fried steak, and great service. Only a mile down the road.

Andrew is very nice to deal with! His internet was struggling the first couple days we were here and he fixed it. Pool has been kept up nicely through the summer. Several shady lots available!

Beautiful hidden gem. Love the pond and all the trees. Nice pool, playground and clubhouse. Owners are an amazing family and sincerely care about their guests! Highly recommend.

Wasn’t like the pictures! Places is a dirty, pool is a mess - couldn’t open. Site was barely wide enough for RV. Smells septic.

Called this morning, no answer. Called this afternoon to make reservations and got the rudest guy I've spoken to in a long time. Told me I'd called him 14 times. That nice couple mentioned in the reviews must surely be out of town today!
