They have a great selection of board games priced reasonably. The staff is very knowledgeable about their stock and happy to answer any questions. They also have comic books, dungeons and dragons as well as Magic the Gathering.

Great place to start training as an D and D DM or if you just want to hang out with the most nerdy geeky dorks. This is the place to feel safe explaining why one DBZ character is better than the next. Spoiler alert Vegeta is the Best

I totally love this place! It has tons of games that no one else in Abilene has and lots of tables to play whatever u want! The demo section lets you play any of those games for free to see if you like them! From Dungeons and Dragons to Magic the card game! Comics and dice of all kinds! Nerdvana!!!

This place is fantastic! A huge game room with tables for customers to play as well as a giant selection of tabletop games. Tons of D&D rulebooks and Warhammer 40k kits but also plenty of other smaller games and plastic minis!

Great game shop, came looking for Dice Throne characters and wasn't disappointed! The picture only shows two but they had a much wider selection, great prices and helpful employees. Would definitely recommend. 😄

They have board games available to people who just want to hang, along with card or table top games going constantly. The environment is fun and inviting. Want to make new friends? This is the place to do it. The staff is always helpful and happy to talk about any of your niche interests. It's a fun place

This place is great! The store has a very welcoming atmosphere and a good community of Magic players, and it's obvious they deeply care about all of their players be they Magic, Yugioh, Warhammer, you name it. Jared, the owner, is a wonderful person. I'm honestly a little sad I live too far away to make this the store I play at. If you live in Abilene or are just passing through, check The Gathering Place out!

Very helpful and polite staff. Varied selection from multiple different game platforms. I was there specifically for D&D merchandise and was pleasantly surprised. Picked up several books and miniatures of the many that were available. Will be returning and definitely would recommend.

Was a very nice experience with a friendly clientele, i spent a around 5 hours playing magic the gathering with a friend and even had a few people join in. Overall a nice store and I will probably be returning

They are very friendly and extremely helpful. I really enjoy shopping here. I've brought my son with me and hes still little, he gets a little rowdy and loud sometimes. I didn't even get "the looks" when my little guy expressed himself there. I did get him to calm down quickly but it didn't noticeably bother anyone.

Great place for all. If you are into board, tabletop, or card games it's awesome. They even have snacks and drinks. If you have a tabletop rpg group they've got rooms you can nook to play there. Great staff, great selection, and the game group rooms are awesome. Love this place!

Great place to nerd out. Board games, card games, roleplay games. Anything you can think of. They have nights where they play Magic: The Gathering and Pokemon. Everyone I have interacted with there is very nice. The workers are super knowledgable and just fun to chat with. They also have some D&D games going, I believe. So you can find most anything you need there.

With their recent addition of comics, I find myself coming here more and more. The selection of games and manuals is wonderfully organized. As well, there's lots of rooms for board games if you wanted to play. Staff is always eager to help too!

Love the people here, everyone is super friendly even if you are new to the games. They don't pressure you into sales and will even show you cheaper options. Wonderful place if you're into any trading card game, d&d, and many more games.

Outstanding game store. It's amazing that im a city like Abilene a game store of this caliber exists. Magic, Warhammer, and other gaming groups meet here regularly. Plenty of space to play. The owner is dedicated to giving players a positive gaming experience.

Great variety of cards (I play mtg) and friendly workers. Prices aren’t too bad for most things. I’m glad they are here in Abilene!

Amazing service and selection. The store was clean and well stocked with everything I could imagine and more. The staff is courteous, knowledgeable and professional. Prices are better than online. I highly recommend The Gathering Place to any hobbiest.
