Tyler State Park Post Oak Picnic Area

Post Oak Picnic Area (Group Picnic Area #1) is one of two reservable picnic areas at Tyler State Park. (There are also lots of other picnic tables in the park you can use without a reservation, but the reservable areas are good for groups.)

Post Oak is shady and has two large grills (one waist-high and one firepit-style) and six picnic tables pushed together on a concrete slab. There's a circular driveway for parking and it's a short, walkable distance from the lake's swimming area and the park store.

If you have a larger group I recommend going up the road a little and reserving the Northwoods Pavilion instead (it's not currently showing up on Google maps.) This one has a roofed structure with fans and lights, an extra-large waist-high grill and smaller firepit and a large parking lot that's adjacent to the Loop D trailhead. The playground, park store and swimming area are still within walking distance.
