Michael's Charcoal Grill

I stopped in here for dinner on my way through Midland. It’s a huge place with an aviation theme. I ordered the small fried catfish plate and it came with two sides. I chose coleslaw and one trip to the salad bar. The catfish was cooked perfectly. It was crispy and flaky. The salad bar is huge and very fresh.

Fantastic place to eat. It reminded me of an old hanger at Dyess which was turned into a diner. All the airplanes were cool. The food was pretty good as well.

I loved going to Michael's with my family. My son is a pilot for Southwest and likes going there too! Food is delicious with lots of choices 😋 The salad bar is wonderful!

Best hamburgers and Onion rings in Midland,Tx! If you haven’t visited this place near the Midland air field your missing out! The have a all you can eat salad bar. Definitely a Great place for large groups. The menu is huge so something for everyone! They have a King Kong burger that can feed 4! Check it out!

Love the old classic diner feel of this place, but love the food and people even more. They never fail to be kind and helpful, and many of the staff make a specific effort to remember those of us who eat here regularly! The food is consistently delicious too. The biggest praise is that they are real people, who make efforts to adapt the menu items to your specifications, whenever possible. Great place.

My husband and I stopped by for a quick lunch and had the 3 meat platter. All of the meats were perfect and the macaroni and cheese was incredible. Looking forward to trying the salad bar, as it had a ton of options and everything looked fresh and delicious. We were easily able to eat and get back to work within an hour.

Super salad bar! Great customer service, the aroma is wild! Love the sights of all the yummy orders up on the counter! All these choices are awesome! Great sweet tea too!

This place never lets you down. Food is always great. Staff is super friendly service is quick. They have a variety of sandwiches, salads, and other delicious food.

For lunch, it is one of the better places in midland.

I’ve been there at dinner and was not as impressed. But we will try dinner there again.

Great food and cool atmosphere.

You definitely won’t leave hungry! The chicken fried steak sandwich was truly delicious. Chili was very good. Especially with the fries!!

One-pound bacon BLT? Who does that? Michael's, that's who! The best sausage sandwich ever - no need for BBQ sauce - perfect as is!! The ambience is awesome. You gotta go here. Get here early for lunch, the line gets long, but there is plenty of seating and the service is quick.

Come in for a landing at this airplane/airport motif burger joint. Big, clean dining room and big menu with lots of good choices. Fast, friendly service. I had a quater-pound burger with cheddar cheese (fresh cut veggies), tater tots and a small drink. $15 or so (expensive but about right for the area) Very good tasting burger and plenty of tots. And a free jalapeño!
Restroom was nice and clean.
I enjoyed the pictures of all kinds of airplanes and fighter jets on the walls. Good ol 50's music playing. Overall, very good. Can't wait to go back and try the chicken fried steak.

The food is great, the salad bar could be better but it is okay. They have friendly staff, I will visit it again.

It had been a long time since I came in. Last time there was alot of flies, alot of people, and staff were flustered and busy not friendly at all, so that made it the reason I didn't come back. It has been over 12 to 15 yrs. This time I came in and 1# it was friendly service, 2# no flies, and 3# food was so delicious 😋 we will definitely be back again soon.

Awesome place to grab a bite to eat. Portions were huge, and tasty. There was even a salad bar, and the airplanes hanging from the ceiling were cool to see. The owner even made it a point to say hi to us while in line and chat with us after we ordered. Great place!

Always enjoy eating here. Hamburgers are delicious, and the chicken fried steak is outstanding.

If you are an aviation buff or pilot, you NEED to check this place out. Fly into KMDD and take that crew car right on over for great food and awesome environment!
