La Bodega Mexican Restaurant

My family and I always used to eat here as kids when we would come and visit Midland. My dad always ordered the chili rellenos with the pecans and raisins. it wasn’t ever something that I wanted to try but then one day he gave me a bite and it’s always my go to dish! I highly recommend giving it a try. If you’re hesitant because of the raisins and pecans, get them on the side. it is an amazing dish and introduced it to my Filipino wife, who immediately fell in love with the chili rellenos! We’ll be back for more one day again when we visit midland!! Service was so bad I had to get up and get my own spoon and refill. I had to ask about forgotten side dishes. But still, will come back. Servers change with time but these chili rellenos will always be great.

The waitresses are always super helpful. Food is always hot and fresh. The portions are always more than enough. Taco salads are always great, and a great option for gluten allergies. The queso with ground beef is always great.

Consistently the best for decades. I've been thinking about a beef Rueda for some time, I don't live in Midland anymore but when I visit try to come to La Bodega. Nacho surpreme is wonderful, tasty salsa and chips. Great guacamole, and enchiladas. The food is fantastic, highly recommended.

My last visit was 2005! This was a great day to visit after church on Sunday. As a child, teen and young woman this was such a great time with family and friends from Kelview Heights. It was like walking into a time capsule. The rice has always been a favorite of mine! I enjoyed my friend, my waitress was precious and the atmosphere never disappoints. A Family caring for Midland families! Service with a smile! I highly recommend and will be back soon. Thanks so much!

The food was great and the environment as well. The restaurant is clean and the staff are friendly. Would come back again.

This was my first time eating here in over 15 years. My mom brought me regularly when I was a child. The food was fast, fresh, and delicious. There was so much of it too! Very nice experience.

I remember coming to this restaurant wirh my parents when I was a kid, it was good then and still good now! I haven't been here in a long time and suggested to the hubby that we eat here. The husband absolutely loved this restaurant!!! It was really good. I had the regular Mexican plate and my hubby had the large combination fajitas nachos. I wish I got to take pictures of our plates but we were so hungry when we got them, we just dug in. LoL He definitely wants to go again to try other menu dishes, so we will be back for sure.

Always great food and service. Had the shrimp quesadillas. Delicious!

Haven't been in a few years and it still is the best for New Mexico style enchiladas.

Difficult to get checked out. But the fajitas were great , take home family pack fajitas, there was plenty of food and lots of fajitas meat, lots of places like to be stingy with the meat, not this place. But the heavy set Mexican girl working the register is not up to the job.

Food was very good and red sauce excellent. Loved the salsa as well.
I had the enchilada, tamale, and taco combo. Dining room very nice and had a patio outside as well that was very pretty.

One of my all time favorite places to eat and it’s almost like home. Very small quarters but homey never the less. Great place for small gathering or birthday party. Upstairs bar with open middle airy and very inviting. Tons of vegetation and smells of home that I never want to leave. One of midlands older establishments not really a new and upcoming hip place but still homey feeling never the less.

The best Mexican food We have found in Midland so far! The staff is super friendly & the food is delicious. Generous portions! Great chips & salsa! The quacomole is my husband's favorite! Definitely must try this place! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best Mexican food in town by far!! It's the true texmex experience

We have been coming here for years. We love the bar area upstairs and my friends and I have spent many an hour just chilling out with cold beer, great chips and salsa. There are several televisions placed in different corners for the sports watchers. Bartenders here have always offered great fast and friendly service. "Chilley" served us yesterday and was fantastic.

My whole family has loved La Bodega and especially the chile rellenos for ever since I can remember! They have some unique takes on dishes that I don't see in other restaurants, but in a good way. We live far away now but anytime we go back to Midland we pack a cooler full of their food to take back with us.

Definitely a unique restaurant in the area and one with a pretty long history (my great-uncle and family even helped fund their original opening wayyy back when, which was cool to learn)

Always great food. Usually great service. When they are super busy, they are not as attentive. Tables are a little too close together as they need the walkway to roll carts through.

Been going here for many years. Always good food and atmosphere. Just Attended a friend's retirement party in the upstairs bar/lounge. My favorite dish is the Chile Rellenos, they are very unique..top it off with a 'rita🍹😋
