I have requested many roofing permits in order to obtain certification for my clients' new roof discounts on their homeowners insurance. They have always been fast, friendly, and helpful.

Delt with this department a few times and they are just lazy and indifferent. This city adds zoning to existing zoning laws after spending millions. They cannot police the existing zoning yet add more at taxpayers expense typical government.

I filed for an occupancy permit on May 31st. I was told by Anthony director of health environment and building safety that they have 10 business days to complete. Larry is the one in charge of issuing the occupancy permit today is day 15 (business days) he advised me last week that he has 15 days to issue the permit and that he wish you would sometime this week today is Friday and makes 15 days he is out of the office in Lubbock and of course the permit has still not been issued his office originally said on May 31st that occupancy permits were very easily and they try to get those done very quickly and out of the way.

Wont accept paper applications anymore. You have to go online and jump through hoops just to try and do the right thing. Typical City of Amarillo. Spend millions on a stupid baseball stadium, and then nickel and dime home owners.
