I had the most wonderful experience I've ever had a hospital! From the moment I walked into the ER, my stay in the observation department, all the testing and imaging
depts, until I walked out was wonderful. Every single person I encountered was so kind and caring! I could not of asked for better care!

Dr. Makari is an excellent doctor. I had my 1st surgery (gallbladder)and went to his office Aug. 8th. (bldg #2 purple lot suite 310.) for the initial consultation. The staff there were wonderful. Very nice & professional. Dr. Makari explained everything to me and answered all of mine & my husbands questions. 3 weeks later I had my surgery at Winchester Medical Center (green lot South tower 1840 Amherst st). The process was easy. They checked me in, took me to my room where I met nurses (Bonnie & Jennifer) my anesthesiologist (Dr. Andrea Styron) and saw Dr. Makari. All were very nice, wonderful, polite & professional. They explained everything, answered my questions and took me in for surgery. My husband got a few calls from them all stating how I was doing etc and what was going on. How impressive! Afterwards, recovery was fine and I was told about my aftercare & was sent home same day. I was so impressed by what a wonderful experience I had. Thank you!

Take food!! The medical staff are great and cleaning staff, doctors and most all but the newer system they have in place for providing meals has a lot to be desired. 3 out of 4 days I didn’t get meals as should have. It was issues from late deliver, didn’t know you were here, another for some reason you were dropped from our system to lastly the order person to place the order didn’t get it/place and 2 phone calls from nurses even up to over an hour later they still were not answering the phone so yeah no food go me. So I am not saying the food isn’t as good as it was but the old system was better compared to the results that was received!!

One of the worst ER's I've been to. It's been two hours and I'm still waiting. Get with it Winchester Medical Center.

Not sure when it became acceptable to let patients room bell ring for 30-45 minutes but that has become the norm at least on the 5th floor

Nice people but in over 10 years I've never stayed at the ER for less than 6 hours. That must be their rule. Anyone going to the ER stays 6 hours. No reason for it!

I went to the ER back a few months ago now mind you. I'm getting ready to have surgery number 10 on My right shoulder. Dr Behoov ( I believe was his name) wrote horrible untrue things in my after visit notes. I cried from disbelief after reading them. I have had back, neck and the 9 right shoulder surgeries and choose NOT to be in pain management. He wrote that I was seeking pain meds and mentally borderline. I was not there for a head evaluation and where he got that is way beyond me. He said I Dr hunted to get pain meds. If I was an addict I would be in pain management. I wrote a letter to get these lies taken off of my record asking them to run my narcotic report and see I hadn't had any pain meds in over a year and only 2 days worth then. I understand there are addicts bit I am Not one of them. It was denied. Me and my family refuse to be treated there ever again. BAD Er

TO MUCH TO WRITE..I WILL NEVER BRING MY DISABLED FATHER HERE AGAIN!! HE HAS HAD 2 STROKES,DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER AND THE STROKES HAVE LEFT HIM BED RIDEN AND UNABLE TO SPEAK CLEARLY!!! And due to his speech and bed ridden THE NURSEs HAVE TO DO MORE WORK SO THEY GET HAFUL WITH THE PATIENTS AND FAMILY!!!!. CARE OR SHOULD I SAY NO CARE WAS GIVEN ON THE 5TH FLOOR.
