Log Cabin Restaurant

We've been coming to the area for a father and son weekend hunting trip since 2013. We hunt with a a multi-generational family that has been coming to the Log Cabin all their lives. I thought we were friends, but for reasons unknown, they've kept this place a secret until know.

We were warned about the long wait time and the cash or check only rule. So, no surprises there.

When I saw the price for the steak, now there was a surprise! Our friends assured us that the steak was so big, it was easily shared. Which the restaurant has no problem with. The price for the two additional sides were very cheap. My son and I are hearty eaters, and honestly we struggled to finish our servings. We could have split the steak three ways and no one would have left hungry. We had high quality steak dinner for under $30 each. We live in Southeast Florida and never find a meal like this anywhere near this price.

The service and the atmosphere were outstanding. Once seated, we never felt rushed.

We will definitely be adding the Log Cabin to part of our annual trip.

Nice relaxing place with the best food around. Great service! Love the grilled shrimp, hamburger steak, hamburgers delicious, delicious steaks. Always get 2 meals out of one can't beat the price for the quality quantity and service. Very family friendly. Your sure to feel welcome 🙂

The Log Cabin is truly a diamond in the rough! The food is AMAZING, the best ribeye steak and sides we’ve ever eaten! The service and the atmosphere are second to none, you feel like family! Bring your appetite when you visit, the portions are huge and you’ll want to devour every bit of it! 5 stars isn’t a good enough rating, 50 stars is what they deserve!

If you know, you know! Don't let this place fool you based on location or looks. The L.C. makes one of the best steaks you'll ever have anywhere in the world! Everything here is fantastic, but i do tend to stick with the steak (ribeye). I always make it a point to go to whenever my travels bring me close by. Don't miss this spot!

The best restaurant you'll find in the middle of nowhere.

If you get there after 5:45, you'll wait at least an hour to get in. We got there about 7:00 local time and waited for 1 hour 15 minutes, mainly because some other people got tried of waiting and left bumping us up. Although this is a pain, it gives you an indication of how popular the place is. With COVID regulations it is serving 50 percent of the dining space contributing to the longer wait times. But we thought it was worth the wait. My wife got the shrimp and scallops, I got the crab claws. We both had salad and cheese grits for our sides and split the onion rings for an appetizer. The grilled food was better, in my opinion than the fired crab claws. It was truly great tasting grilled seafood, some of the best we'd had. My crab claws were a little small, something they apologized for and was not as good as I had hoped, but still very acceptable and tasty. The onion rings were homemade, crispy, thin and fantastic. One other thing you need to know, they only take cash and checks, so be prepared. Also be prepared to think you are on the wrong road because it will seem that you are headed to l;the middle of the woods. Well you are, but that's where the restaurant is located. Its a unique dining option with great food, so if you are looking for something a little different, this is the place.

Well worth the drive and wait! Best steak I have ever eaten. Cozy setting great for any occasion be it date night or family dinner.

The Log Cabin is more than just a restaurant; it's where we've made cherished memories. It's the place of our first date and a frequent spot for a night out & special family celebrations.

Bring a BIG appetite! My husband loves the generous seafood platter, while I'm all about the fantastic steaks. They're the biggest and the best, hands down. We often split a steak & still have plenty of leftovers. Even when we get our meals To Go, it's still hot and oh so delicious (we live 30 min away). The quality and taste are consistently exceptional.

What truly sets The Log Cabin apart is the welcoming & appreciative atmosphere. Mr. Gene and the ladies are a key part of what makes this place so charming. They really want you to thoroughly enjoy your meal & visit. The whole staff works super hard, but you'd never guess it from how comfy & at home they make you feel.

The wait can be a bit long, but let me tell you, it's worth every minute. While you wait, it feels like a tailgate in your own front yard. It's a time to catch up with friends you haven't seen in a while or since your last LC visit. And if you don't know anyone, you'll certainly know a few by the end of the night. The friendly atmosphere is infectious.

One thing to remember is that they prefer cash or check payments, which is in line with their relaxed approach.

Take your meals to go and watch the sunset over the Chattahoochee River! If you can’t get a seat, anyway. This is my favorite restaurant in the South, perhaps the world. The steak and seafood here are amazing. This is an old-school restaurant which is run with passion and in the owners’ own style. You are welcomed onto The Log Cabin property as if you were visiting longtime neighbors; greeted by sweet dogs, saying hello to other guests, friendly staff, and a classic setting. They have limited days and hours, and the quality is very high as a result. This is the way that all small businesses should be. A friend grew up in the area and recommended The Log Cabin to me. I was returning to Fort Rucker from Tallahassee and decided to stop at The Log Cabin. The drive and the restaurant were perfect. I miss the Adirondack Mountains, and this restaurant has that country and outdoor atmosphere of the ADK’s. Beware- the wait times are very long and they do not accept credit cards - but if you face a wait, a scenic overview of the river is just two minutes down the road. It’s perfect.

One of our favorite places to eat! The atmosphere is relaxing and nothing is better than sitting outside when the weather is cool and the food is great! The charm of the place is made much better by the staff , who are the best around. Yes, there will be a wait, but it’s worth it, as good things usually are.

Last night we had take out hamburger steak dinners. One word. Delicious. We went with our son and family tonight. Excellent food. Excellent service. Very friendly owner and staff Our family had quail. Grilled catfish. Ribeyes. And hamburger steak and hamburger one word. Excellent. I never had quail before and we are from Louisiana. And we are going back tomorrow night. I can’t wait. Great place.

We dined with them (again) 7/27/23. The best ribeye steaks, outside my own, that I’ve ever had. Period. Their huge ribeye will set you back $40 bucks and comes with a side. I always get their fantastic onion rings for my side. Their fried seafood is also good but hard to order it with their steaks being so good. The place opens at 6 pm wed-Sun. And is BYOB. Well worth the ride particularly if you have company to entertain.

Great as always! An old CO worker came into town and they guys from work went out. Great down home atmosphere. Service was amazing.

Amazing! Get there early to keep from waiting. Food was excellent. I got grilled quail and it was perfect. Family got steak, broiled seafood and fried shrimp and all raved about how good it was.

Some of the best food that I've eaten. The steak was cooked perfect and delicious. My wife had the seafood platter which was scallops and shrimp that was excellent. And the service is very friendly and attentive.

Fantastic food, atmosphere and......food. This restaurant has been going strong since 1961 and should be a state historic site. Family owned and operated. Just make sure that you bring cash or check as there is no internet to run your card. One of the best hamburger steaks around. Seafood platter that is a mountain. Loaded hamburger is all you'll ever need. Go check them out. You will need to wait to be seated but that's the fun of the place.
