We recently moved to Dothan and had no idea which vet to choose. It was just dumb luck that we chose this one. We are very impressed with Dr. McCoy and staff! Some reviews mentioned staff was “rude”, which I cannot imagine. The girls up front are extremely busy- the phone rings constantly- and they do a great job. They have always been nice, and Dr. McCoy is knowledgeable, gentle and caring. Prices are very reasonable as well. We are happy to drive to Headland for this vet!

I just needed a call back to confirm info on my cat. Happily, they returned my call and gave me the info I needed.

Have 3 dogs 1 cat, they are a no nonsense care. It's all about the care of your pets and not up charging you for everything. Thank God for them. God bless you all who work hard there.

Dr McCoy treats my fur children as if they were his own. I have heard him speak softly to them as he gives medical treatment. He is a "think out of the box" type of veterinarian. I have held many of my loved ones as Dr. McCoy helped them to the Rainbow Bridge. His bedside manner is very respectable and kind. His staff shows an enormous amount of respect and compassion for all the animals in their care. There are 5 vet offices near my house, but I don't mind the 30 minute drive for ANY of my 8 pets!!!

Have been using Waldron Pond Veterinary for around 6 or 7 years. I might be able to think of some minor hiccup in our dealings with them if I strained my brain hard enough, but I don't dwell on trivialities that I'd need to strain that hard to remember. My take on Walden Pond is that Dr. McCoy and his staff are all the highest level of medical care for our pets we've ever had during our 35+ years of marriage, every year of which found us with multiple pets. The people there are empathetic to the struggles their clients go through when a terminal illness hits one of their pets. They will make it as easy as possible for folks also struggling with financial hardships to find a solution that is fair and doable for everybody. I have nothing bad to say about this business or the people who work in and/or own it.

If you ever wished you could take your pet to the vet and they would genuinely care and focus on the problem at hand, instead of finding ways to charge you more, this is the place to go. Dr. McCoy was calming and gentle with my cat, and his technician was very sweet and worked efficiently. They know their stuff, treated my cat, and I walked out the door shortly after without feeling like I had been drained financially. Very fair and reasonable prices. I am beyond satisfied. Thank you!

Dear Kylie Allmon :
First off, I've gone to Waldon for YEARS.
Your review is VERY strange to me. This place has very good prices for the work they do. The Dr has ALWAYS been super humble and there when myself or ANYONE I know has needed him.
I've NEVER known them to make payment arrangements. It sounds to me that you're entitled and WILL NOT pay your bill, and if that is the case I don't blame them. You don't go to WALMART and get free groceries..... nothing is free honey.

Dr. McCoy is so sweet. He was THE ONLY vet I could depend on today when my baby was suffering. 💞

Took Lola here for her yearly. It was quick, easy and affordable. I look forward to trying the other services Walden Pond offers.

Dr Chris McCoy is respectful and reputable. He cares for your babies as if they were his own and is brutally honest but tactful in delivery even in hardest of times yet he does not over order test or labs driving up bills for his patrons he considers extended family. His costs are affordable and cheaper than most which helps many adopt and rescue others saving from euthanasia. We have proudly had Walden Pond as our go to vet since 2010. God bless you Chris McCoy and staff at WP in Headland, AL

Very polite and helpful staff here and not overly expensive. Found this little guy injured in the road and they sure helped him feel better. I was able to locate his people and return him. Thank you Dr. McCoy!

Great small town vet. They are busy because of low staff, but I trust them with my fur babies.

They saved my baby girls life after she got ahold of the Christmas ham and came down with acute pancreatitis. I really thought I was going to lose my FeeFee but the team at Walden Pond came to the rescue and saved my sweet FeeFee! The love they have for animals is unmatched by any other clinic in the surrounding area. They do not try to rob you because you love your pet and will do anything for the pet, they also love your pet and want animal owners to have their pet without having an empty wallet! I recommend this vets office above all others!

Great Service, I have been taking my 2 dogs to Dr. MCCoy for the past 2 years and he is great with both. He is Knowledgeable, Patient, and trustworthy.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
