Buglin' Bull Restaurant and Sports Bar

For a sports bar the food is excellent. The service is very friendly and quick. The cheese bread appetizer is more like a pizza! I can say it's the best I have ever had. It is served with tomato sauce. The buffalo tenderloin was cooked perfectly.

We've been here several times and each time the food and service is consistently good. Several in our group had elk burgers and they were cooked perfectly and tasted great. The rest of the food was also very good. Even though it was pretty busy, our server checked on us regularly.

Stopped by originally for lunch and got the sparkling chicken. Was so good we returned again for supper got the chicken again and per the waiters recommendation tried the cookie dessert. It was fabulous ! I hope my travels lead me to this restaurant again!

I couldn't have been happier to have come here! Wow. I'm living in nearby Keystone, SD working a contract role and came here after a hike. The atmosphere is nice and elevated in a casual, understated way. This is the perfect place for a date. The food was delicious. We had the Thai shrimp and buffalo stuffed mushrooms as appetizers. The buffalo stuffed mushrooms were spicy, juicy, and flavorful and were easily the best stuffed mushrooms I've had. The Thai shrimp had a bit of salad as an accompaniment and everything from the flavor to the texture was great.
Our entrees were the gourmet mac and cheese and tatanka meatloaf. I loved the tatanka meatloaf and how well-seasoned and cooked it was. Though good, the mac and cheese sauce was a little heavy for my liking, but my companion loved the dish. Our server, though a little quiet, was very sweet and attentive. I was very impressed with the food overall and grateful to have found this place. I've lived in big cities and this restaurant exceeded my expectations. If you're wondering whether to go to this place--go. You won't regret it.

Incredible dinner! The waiter suggested the special of dry aged buffalo steak and it was definitely the best meal on our vacation. My wife had the walleye, which was also great. One kid had chicken strips, and the other had pizza which was much better than the average kids menu pizza.

What you want to eat and drink in an old western town! Great service and delicious hamburgers!

We sat at the bar. The bartender provided great service and was very nice. Good atmosphere in a really neat old building with stone on the walls, a tin ceiling and multiple elk heads. The food was good. We had mushroom caps, a Rueben and a burger.

Tonight was our 1st night in Custer, & our 1st meal at the Buglin' Bull. Upon arrival, the hostess immediately asked our table location preference. Our waiter, Steven or Stephen, gave us excellent service & answered our questions patiently. The atmosphere was relaxing. Our hamburger meals with different sides were very tasty. This is a relaxing family restaurant & I would highly recommend you visit to enjoy this establishment.

We stopped in for a bite to eat. I ordered the wagyu cheesesteak sandwich, and it was the best I've ever had. The meat was super tender and juicy; compliments to the chef. Our waitress was super nice and went above and beyond.

The host was amazing turning our 20min wait into 5 mins… Our server was very speedy and polite!! I almost finished my onion rings before I snapped a pic of those badboys!!! Highly recommended!! Lots of yummy food for a decent price feed my family of 4 for under $80 and the wife got the steak tips which was like $24!! Delicious 🤤

The service and staff were awesome. We never wanted for anything. Requests and drinks were filled instantly. The food was great. I ordered the chicken sandwich which was a little dry for my taste. My husband and daughter loved the burger and pizza.

The building is really cool with lots of neat artwork on the walls and a beautiful bar area. The wait staff and hostess were wonderful as well, but the food... the food was REALLY amazing. I got the Tatanka strip steak and it was perfect. Perfectly cooked with a great seasoning blend on it, juicy and tender. Just wonderful. The veggies with it were amazing as well, especially the red potatoes. Prices were very reasonable, and my family loved their food as well. If you happen to find yourself in Custer, definitely stop here. You won't be disappointed.

Fast, friendly service and tasty viddles, just what you need after a long day exploring. Country Fried Steak and Buffalo Tips, how much more authentic can you get? Great sized portions and truly delicious.

We extended our stay in Custer, South Dakota, and this restaurant is the best in town! The food is yummy, and the service is top-notch!

Great place for a quick and delicious meal with very nice, friendly, and attentive service. Amazing cocktails as well. Definitely recommend.

First and foremost the service was EXCELLENT! The dining ambience was great. Two of us had Elk Burgers and another person had the Buffalo burger. The Elk Burgers were a bit overcooked. The Buffalo burger was cooked to perfection. I had the Chicken Fried Steak which was to die for good.

For appetizers we had Onion Rings and Stuffed Mushrooms. Both were excellent.

The prices were in line with what we were served. All in all very happy with the food and especially the service. A BIG High Five to Romario. He kept us laughing. He carefully made sure everything was perfect, and he checked on us often. This young man is a huge asset to Buglin' Bull.

A little noisy eith all the large groups. If the roof yop patio was open, it would have been nice to dine there. Food was outstanding. Service was good.

My husband and I had dinner here on Monday 4-29-24. We were staying in Custer State Park and had been on the road all day. I read the reviews and saw the menu and it looked like a great place. We had their chicken wings fir an appetizer and they were nice and crispy yet tender on the inside We hit Asian sauce on the side. Then he had the Bison meatloaf with mushrooms and geavy which came with a dinner role and vegetables green beans, yellow squash. I had the Sparkling Chicken with a lovely cream sauce and mushrooms and also had a dinner role and vegetables. We each had a pinapple cider The food was top notch and the presentation was beautifully done. Wish I had taken a photo of thd food. The waitress was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was great. I highly recommend this place.

Everything my family ordered was amazing. I got the Ruben with fries and for desert had the skillet cookie. Simply AMAZING!!
