Kennekuk County Park

Yet another park I've spent most of my life visiting. Came here hunting as a child, and now I shot pictures . ❤✌

I want to preface that their is NO PLAYGROUND HERE! But that isn't necessarily a bad thing. It is such a beautiful and well kept park!

Lots of hiking most are easy, fishing, wildlife viewing,old buildings to look at and walk through . Beautiful picnic areas throughout the park.There is a welcome center, can launch canoe into the Middle fork river looked like there were lots of late summer flowers

I have absolutely fallen in love with this park... my best friend and I went to Kennekuk County Park together to celebrate her birthday. We hiked on the trails some, and it was absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful, healthy trees, tons of birds and butterflies, frogs and toads hopping in and out of the marshes, and all of it was so peaceful! When we got to the river, we waded to a sandbar and found a variety of shells, and just relaxed listening to the river flow and the breeze through the trees. Life at home is busy busy busy with three sons that I homeschool, and not only was Kennekuk the perfect getaway for a day, I can’t wait to go back and take my kids for all of the incredible adventures we can have together, and because there’s a vast amount of science and history in this park with educational opportunities abounding! My boys are going to love, love, LOVE exploring and adventuring at Kennekuk

Very clean and well maintenance park. Have public restroom almost in every parking spot nearby. They have several pond we can go for fishing. Also on horshoe pond, there"s nice hiking trail that assist you around the lake. Alot of osprey / eagle around also, some canadian goose and other kind of duck nearby the pond. If we visit bunker hill historic area, they have alot of old historical building with very clean restrooom in this spot. The only things, i didnt see anymore train on this spot, i dont know what reason the train is gone. But generally, Very reccomended place to visit and get away from work and relaxing our mind while enjoying the nature around the park.

What an amazing park! So many great memories at this place. If you want to get out of the hectic city and away from the chaos just go to Kennekuk and forget all your trouble. If you like riding a bicycle this place is for you. Riding bikes in Kennekuk is so much fun and it's a very beautiful park. Kennekuk is by far the nicest park in the city and a great place to take your kids.

Fabulous woodland preserve. Their nature center alone gets six stars - Build with wood reclaimed from trees on the location, it has classrooms lined with posters, books and props to thrill a child. The woods are pristine, from the oak hickory mix up high to the pawpaw and spice bushes in the hollows. Should there be a desire there is a white oak barn available for receptions and events, with a playground nearby.

I was married at the little white chapel. One of my favorite places to be. Lots to do. Need to reopen the beach though. That's my only complaint. No place to swim with all that water on a hot day.

Large park with a lot to see and do! The Lake Mingo Trail is excellent, the Bunker Hill historical area is adorable. I love coming to Kennekuk County Park!

Pick up map so you don't miss anything. Will be back to fish from a dock area

Best place to have any kind of gathering weather it's a little get together or for a special event.wonderful trails to go on plus fishing and canoeing , playgrounds available and volleyball net just an overall great outside activity

Went to the old settlement herb garden and met the Master Gardeners and gathered some herbs.

The Great Park for being a county run facility. Some of the best trail running trails in the area. Good place to spend the weekend.
