Jai's Multicultural Cuisine

So glad to have this establishment in downtown Peoria. The owners and staff are great. Very friendly, open and welcoming. We had the buffet and enjoyed everything. Great salads, wonderful vegetarian options, seafood, pork, and chicken. If not hungry enough for the full buffet they have a one plate option including a drink. There is also a menu with other options. I asked and they also do catering if anyone needs help with an event. Good hours for a dinner before an event at civic center. Nice place to go for lunch if at court.

Went there last night, place was amazing! The food was absolutely delicious, the Greek salad was beautifully made. The underground location was very unique and I loved the renaissance paintings. The staff was very polite and welcoming and the food cane out really fast. Everything my table ordered was delicious.

I think Peoria has a new act in town. Firstly, the family who runs the establishment is so warm, welcoming, and eager to share their story. Their vision is to leverage their years of experience in the culinary world, their passion for giving back, and the historical "old Richards on Main" space to offer Peoria a tasting tour of the world. While it is a buffet right now, they want to expand into a tapas tasting menu, offering made-from-scratch food at lunch hour speed service. I met a friend of mine there on New Years Eve day for food & drinks. The food was lovely & fresh, & the drinks quenched my thirst, and came with some warm & friendly conversation with Juan & Ashley. I'd recommend this place, as it offers a hint of downtown Chicago right in the heart of our humble downtown Peoria. They took a chance on us, and I think it's only right that we all shared that courtesy. Mr. Luciano, I'm waiting for your review, sir.

Amazing experience!

I highly recommend visiting the place and showing them some love. Being a vegetarian I always struggle with lack of options at the buffet. But Jais is doing an awesome job. They have great quality food, with a ton of vegetarian options. And they keep rotating these dishes. They also have a separate salad and soup bar, desserts and soda drinks all included with the buffet; which is pretty reasonable. Also, I’m excited for their a la carte menu (which is coming soon)

It’s a family owned restaurant and everyone is really warm and nice. I wish they had opened sooner. Looking forward to trying their breakfast buffet. 😊

I was eagerly waiting for this place to open since the sign came up and it did not disappoint!
The place is spacious, the interiors look welcoming and the music is loud enough to drown the voices around but quiet enough that you can hear across the table.
But the best part of the place is the food. The buffet (which is the only option for now but a la Carte is coming soon) is aptly priced. There are 10-12 entree options which as many sides, a fully functional salad bar, and soda and desserts. Everything was cooked to perfection and refilled promptly. It was obvious that the whole Padilla family has put its heart into the place.
Make sure to try this place ASAP and talk to the owners. You will not be disappointed.

My wife and I are visiting from out of town. Decided to go here because the food looks good. Excellent food, great customer service. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the Hispanic environment and fun atmosphere. I don’t live in Peoria but I would come back to come here again. A must do if you are in the area don’t miss out.

Went for dinner on a Friday night. Ordered bruschetta and off the pasta menu. We were all greatly impressed by the presentation and taste of the food. Highly suggest. Large restaurant with a bar. Definitely could have some more social events like trivia or ect.

The food was excellent! Even though this is a buffet style restaurant all the food is prepared in house and from scratch.The taste, texture and flavor of all the food sampled proves that it is. The restaurant is located beneath the theater and only accessible via the stairs which are in front. I highly recommend the food and ambience.

I'm some one who is always out of town for business, and let me tell you guys this place has it all. I spent three days in Peoria and jai's was my spot. The food was excuiset and the staff was so welcoming. They turned it into a night club the last day I was here Friday! Definitely recommend jai's for everyone. I can assure you it won't disappoint.

Nice variety of items offered. Everything we tried, we liked. The staff was extremely kind and helpful to our large family. Wish we lived closer so we could become regulars.
