Carol & team from Mount Apatite Farm made our wedding better! The locally grown food was incredible (my husband and I made a significant dent in the leftover butternut squash risotto at 4:30am), the flowers were very reasonably priced for the high level of quality and presentation (3 bridal bouquets and a bonus table arrangement), and the people were a pleasure to work with!

Carol herself was always timely in communication, so thoughtful, and provided helpful insights and recommendations. Menu selection was fun and collaborative!

A must visit during growing and harvest season. Carol maintains an fabulous organic garden from Greens to Grapes to gorgeous flowers she sells at the local Farmers Market. If your lucky, you may also catch her in her commercial kitchen where cooks up Garden to Table meals for her catering business. Taste some of the delicacies, purchase a full meal deal or take home a bouquet of flowers, dried or fresh. A true inspiration! She will also set you up with a tour of the adjacent Mt Apatite Mine, where you can forage for Maine Minerals....

Carol and her team were amazing. I am a full service wedding planner and was lucky enough to work an event with her! Food was delicious, fresh, on time, and there was plenty to go around. All the guests commented on how great the dishes were. She also provided florals from her farm for the bride, bridesmaids, and a few of the tables. Absolutely stunning. So very talented. I would recommend Mt Apatite Farm to anyone looking for a great catering team on their wedding day. Flawless!

I have known Carol for a few decades! Having relocated to South Florida over 40 years ago, it was an absolute thrill to visit Mt. Apatite Farm while visiting Maine for a family reunion. I had a wonderful tour of her garden and purchased several of her catering items for our reunion lunch! All delicious... super-fresh and welcomed by all my relatives. Carol is very creative, thorough, and always aims to please. And she is very successful in doing that. I highly recommend her and her services.

Her cooking is amazing! Carol has cooked for our family for over five years. She is able to accommodate almost any dietary restrictions and preferences. In our little family, we have a vegan, a vegetarian, and an omnivore. Yet Carol consistently prepares delicious and healthy meals that put smiles on all of our faces. She also fills our freezer with wonderful ready-to-eat meals that keep us well-fed between her visits. During harvest season, she delights us with fresh ingredients from her own organic garden, as well as from other local farmer friends.

Carol has also catered a business open house for me in the past. She provided a delicious and beautiful spread for over 75 guests, and attended to all the details with effortless precision.

In addition to her cooking prowess, Carol is just a warm and wonderful person. She's a real Mainer, with a big smile, and the giving spirit of a Fairy Godmother. She's always a pleasure to work with.

Cookin' Carol gets my highest recommendation!!!

Carol catered our wedding this past year and we could not have been happier with everything. The prices were the most reasonable by FAR...and I mean too good old to be true compared to other caterers. The food was farm fresh, home cooked, and plentiful. Many of our guests took the time to let us know how awesome the food was. There was quite a bit leftover and we were sad to eat the last of it a few days later for dinner.

Carol also offers a pick your own flowers situation where you go to her farm and pick flowers for an insanely cheap price. Although we couldn’t take advantage of it due to time restrictions, it was a nice touch.

Carols team was friendly and professional and she worked well with the space (it was held in parents backyard.)

We highly recommend Carol and will certainly be using her services again for our future catering needs.

Working with Carol was a pleasure! From the first meeting, we were impressed with Carol's knowledge and expertise. She walked us through planning the appetizers and buffet for our wedding and offered to do a tasting as well. We were very pleased with the quality of her food and her use of homegrown ingredients. She was very willing to offer extras such as table clothes and serving utensils. We were also happy to learn that she could take care of our flowers as well. She gave us a tour of her flower gardens and gave us the opportunity to choose flowers for our tables, bouquet and boutonnieres. I brought her my own vases and she did a fabulous job! Everyone commented on how beautiful they were. The food at our wedding did not disappoint! From the delicious hot and cold hors d'oeuvres to the amazing buffet of roast pork stuffed with asparagus, grilled chicken with three sauces, pasta salad, green salad with homemade dressings, and home baked breads--we couldn't have been happier! Our guests were well fed and happy too! Carol and her staff went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day was a success. Thank you, Carol for all you did to make our wedding day so special! I first met Carol of Mount Apatite Farm & Catering in 2013 at the Lewiston Farmer's Market and she has since become an outstanding role model in my life; personally and professionally. She is a friendly and nurturing soul with a real knack for assembling beautiful bouquets, planning and preparing elegant meals from scratch, and catering to the unique taste and wishes of the people she serves. I highly recommend scheduling a visit to the farm in the peak of summer (July / August) for a tour of the garden.

From the moment my husband and I reached out to Carol, we knew we had found the right person to help us navigate the ins and outs of catering a very DIY wedding. We are so glad our paths crossed!

Carol catered our wedding dinner and grew beautiful flowers on her farm that we cut and arranged ourselves. She and her team of two others worked tirelessly and efficiently through a heatwave to prepare and serve both delicious hors d'oeuvres (phyllo pastry seafood puffs and baked brie with grapes and crackers - so tasty!) and a full buffet meal for our 80+ guests. We had homestyle grilled chicken, garden green beans, beautiful salads with homemade dressings, roasted potatoes, butternut squash risotto...just simple, delicious, made-from-scratch Maine farm food. We had guests with all kinds of food restrictions that Carol was able to accommodate, and everyone left the dinner table with full bellies and big smiles.

Carol has been a pleasure to work with throughout the process of planning this wedding. She is so down to earth, kind, professional, experienced, and calm. She always took the time to reassure my family and I that we could pull this off together, and walked us through so many different ways to cut costs to make sure we stayed within our budget (making our own boutonnieres, for example). She has worked on countless weddings and is so generous with her knowledge, patience, and amazing wedding odds and ends in her barn. Thank you Carol for your incredible dedication and spirit - it was such a joy to work with you!

I am horrible, Carol did my staff Christmas party last year and it was amazing!! I am horrible because just realized I never left a review. Not only did she cook, I moved into a new house and she brought dishes, silverware, drinkware, linens, etc. I enjoyed my 20 plus guests and it was amazing. She was even staying after to clean. She was amazing and the food was amazing. I was only searching for her to book her again and realized I never left a review. I could not recommend her enough, the food and just how comfortable she made everyone feel. Awesome!!

The best Sundays at the Lewiston Farmers Market are those when Mount Apatite Farm is present. Carol’s freezer sales offer prepared foods. Highly recommended: baked beans, innovative soups, and various savory strudels . And the butterscotch chip cookies! There’s also a variety of fresh herbs and vegetables. And you can also feed your soul with a seasonal bouquet. All this bounty is also available at the farm. Check it out, you’ll be glad you did.

Beautiful farm on the southern slope of Mount Apatite. Carol does such a wonderful catered meal at events and is a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend her meat patties and chocolate zucchini bread.

Mount Apatite Farm is great! I’ve purchased many of Carol’s frozen food and it has ALL been wonderful! I’m more than pleased with what I’ve purchased. I’ve seen her at the Lewiston Farmer’s Market and she brings the most beautiful flowers! If you haven’t tried Mount Apatite Farm you’re missing out!!
