Awesome place... little expensive, but clean and spacious. There are Trails to walk on, Beach, playground picnic area with little grills and cleanest water in Maine damn near.

Always a good time. They close earlier this year than in years past. The both rooms close at 6:30pm and the beach closes at 7:45pm. I like to come on weekdays in the afternoon-evening when is not as busy.
This is a very pleasant state park.
They have nature trails, watercraft to rent and much more. To see the rest check out their website.

Great little state park with multiple hiking trails which are very well marked and maintained! Beautiful pond with an awesome little beach area, end of April visit during the week so the park was pretty empty which was nice. The trails around the pond area have restrooms periodically (outhouse style but clean), there's also water spigots (not on until May I think). Lots of natural water, bring a filter and you'll have plenty of water! Couple playground areas, dogs welcome but not on the beach areas and tons of picnic tables!!

Nice, short trail. When I went, there was still quite a bit of snow but it was good enough to still walk.

Quiet trail for the most part. The history markers along the walk are a nice touch which talk about the history of the area as well as the ecosystem. Will definitely be revisiting throughout the different seasons.

Range Pond is wonderful! Ample parking. Clean, large changing rooms and bathrooms. Picnic tables with grills. The water is always warm by my standards, clean and clear. Easy sand footing to walk into the water. Great for kids and adults.

Great beach, quiet, hiking also through woods & along water, many brought dogs to walk, there is also a small playground for ages 5-11. Tranquil, quiet place to think. There are picnic tables, barbecue grills, and outhouses.

My friend and I stumbled across this while driving around and I'm so glad we stopped to visit. There are fantastic facilities and a nearby campground. There's a great playground for the kids as well. I imagine it is very popular in the summer as it has a beach area with multiple lifeguard stands and a boat launch.

Fantastic place to bring the family. Grills , playground. Boat launch. Yearly pass is definitely the best value , get this park and every other state park in maine for just over $100.

One of my favorite local places to bring kids. Shallow water for a while. Also there is clean bathrooms and showers to rinse off. You hear the nature all around.

Nice place to take the dogs for a short walk ☺. several trails, but the old camp trail parallels Range pond and has views across the pond 🤩. Was a tad crowded 🥸….beware of grumpy middle aged woman who dont like dogs off leash 😬😛🤣. Pray for them 🙏😄🥰.

The park would be beautiful any time of the year but it was particularly nice with the Fall colors! We were there midday and midweek on the 12th of October and the place was largely deserted. Sweet!

One of my favourite places to visit! Top tip: get a State park pass to get in as much as you want all year round, otherwise there is a small entrance fee.
Beautiful trails, amazing sandy beach and wonderful swimming. Non motorized boats only mean it is very calm water. Can get busy in the Summer, but even when it is packed with families, the water is still great!
Wonderful staff take care of it really well

Range pond is one of my favorite spots to hit the lake... Luckily for me I live right down the road. It's one of the more comfortable spots to hit the lake with the family. I love that they have outdoor grills, very nice restrooms, lifeguards on duty, picnic tables and walking trails. It's an awesome spot and very family-friendly.

My husband and I love it here it's so peaceful, always clean, and not over crowded but even if it does get crowded you can walk down the path to two other smaller beach areas they also rent kayaks there too although seemed expensive to me so we never bother and I just learned you can rent bikes there

8/10/20 : Range Pond in Range State Park is an authentic gem tucked away in Poland, Maine. Easy to find, about 40 minutes from Portland, 45 minutes from Brunswick, Maine. Loads of good times at this Park!

Most of my summer time memories include picnics at the beach. Love the clean quality of this pond, out 30 feet from land, still look down and see the bottom of the pond. Several life guard chairs, usually 1 or 2 lifeguards on duty during peak weekend hours . . . Not to crowded during week days.

You'll find a few amenities at Range Park. There's a pavillion for birthday, retirement, or family parties that can be rented. You have access to the water. There's several walking trails around the southeastern side of the pond. There's a bathhouse for changing, and bathrooms. On most weekends & some weekdays there's kyacking rentals. There's also a sporadic number of picnic tables and park grills. I'd recommend bringing several camping/beach chairs and sun screen. Not too buggy.

Note: Sometimes you might see/hear the food truck (I'd call it a "roach coach") with generator . . . selling burgers, fries, ice cream, and sodas . . . abit noisy for me!

Bring your own healthy sandwiches or fruit and enjoy the day at this scenic beach park!

Another local gem that I had forgotten how close to home it is and how much fun everyone has regardless of what age. The best part about spuratatically packing in the car to go to range pond is that kids fall asleeps very easily!! 👌👌👌💚💜💙💛❤❤🕊🙏

Water is always some of the warmest. Beautiful state park with very sandy beach. Great walking trails as well and my children love the playground. Snack truck is always a plus as well as the baby snapping turtles and fish we usually see.

Gorgeous, spacious, clean, beautifully laid out, lots of private spaces away from the beach with picnic tables, reasonably-altering, magnificent lake
