We cannot sing high enough praises for Adam and the Brockit team!! I’ve been following Adam’s work on Instagram for the past several years and fell in love with his photography. My new husband and I hired him for our engagement photos and wedding celebration, and we couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. Our communication over this past year and a half with studio manager Meghan has been thorough and helpful - she’s gone above and beyond with coordinating our shoots, answering all of our questions, and making sure everything was ready leading up to our big day. She’s a wonderful member of the Brockit team and we’re so grateful to have worked with her. Our engagement session last September was the first time we met Adam. We were nervous at first as we’d never had photos taken professionally before, but his relaxed, easy going manner quickly helped us feel comfortable and confident. We had a great day taking photos and exploring some of our favorite places in the Keweenaw. His assistant for the first half of our session, Meg, was fun and upbeat and helped make us feel at ease. The photos we got back from our engagement session are so gorgeous! Our wedding was even more incredible - Adam and assistant Jess were with us all day to help capture every special moment, and they were such a joy to work with! It felt like we were hanging out with old friends, and they made our big day so magical. They worked seamlessly with our videographer and our DJ to keep things moving along, and Adam helped create a few private moments for us during our first look and golden hour photos that were so important to my husband and me with all the chaos of the celebration. Adam and Jess even powered through getting stung by ground hornets to make sure we got our golden hour photos before the coveted lighting disappeared. Adam’s attention to detail is flawless, and his work speaks for itself. Our photos are absolutely stunning and we’re so thrilled with every single one of them. He captured our day perfectly and we are forever grateful to him and his entire team for all of their hard work going above and beyond to deliver not only beautiful artistry, but all of the memories of our day. Truly worth every penny, and I cannot wait for our next session with Adam and the Brockit team in the future! (Here are a few of our favorites, but they’re all phenomenal so it’s hard to choose just a few!)

My fiancé and I chose Brockit to photograph our engagement and wedding photos. Adam took our engagement photos this summer, and we love our gallery. Adam is more than a photographer; he is a storyteller, a true artist, and a benevolent friend.

Adam and crew took our engagement photos around Hancock while we were on vacation in the Keweenaw. The entire experience was easy and exceeded our expectations. We came back a year later for a Northwoods Elopment and it was the most incredible experience! brockit, Protea Floral and the Vault made us feel like we were the only couple in the world who mattered! We left all the creative choices up to Adam and our sunset ceremony on the rocks in Eagle Harbor was perfect. Take a look at any of the images from brockit and you'll be impressed. Meeting and working with Adam and the staff at brockit will make you forever grateful you chose them.

We worked with Brockit to have professional photos and videos taken of our business. I can't say enough how wonderful Adam and his team were. They paid great attention to detail, to flow, to composition, and to making sure that our business was shown in the best light - both metaphorical and actual lighting! They went above and beyond and were just a joy to work with. Very personable, and very in tune with what each individual shoot would need. We often have our own customers mention how impressive our web presence is now thanks to the pictures and videos Adam put together for us. Brockit is definitely my top choice for any future personal or professional photography needs!

I have worked with Adam on multiple different shoots and have always been impressed with the results! I had family photos with our dog taken, boudoir, anniversary pictures, maternity and family photos with our new baby. Each shoot has had very different visions and Adam always takes the time to ensure I am happy with the end result. He takes your vision and elevates it to deliver wonderful photos.

Probably my favorite shoot was on our sailboat for my husband and I’s 5 year anniversary. We had the sailboat anchored in White City and Adam not only drove me out to meet my husband at the location, but also motored around our boat in the dingy to get the perfect shot. The final images from the shoot are a dream.

I can’t recommend Adam enough for any type of photos you need. He can do it all!

As a part of the Brockit team and a client on multiple occasions, I can say with confidence that Adam Johnson is one of the best photographers I have ever met. Not only is he talented, but also engaging and sociable. He works very hard on creating an inviting environment for his clients and gives them the space to be vulnerable in front of the camera, but is supportive throughout the whole process. Getting in front of a camera no matter what the circumstance can be a very vulnerable experience, but Adam and team make it fun and easy.

I first saw Adam's work in 2013. About 9 years later, it was time for me and my husband to pick a photographer for our elopement photos. I live in Germany, but I knew it had to be Adam taking our photos.
From beginning to end, Brockit put in so much effort, which in turn, made our part feel effortless. Correspondence with Meg ran seamlessly. She was prompt, informative, and super friendly.
Jess could not have been a more helpful assistant during our session. She helped set up the scenes, carried lots of accessories we brought along, and always kept an ear open for any thoughts or wishes we had.
Adam not only completely understood the vision we had, he elevated it to a level which I can only describe as magical. Even though my husband and I would describe ourselves more so as camera-shy, Adam and Jess were able to make the whole experience fun and comfortable. The photos exceeded all expectations we had, and as a German, I know great quality when I see it. ;)

When looking for a wedding photographer we saw Brockit photos displayed around town. Figured it would be way above our price range...He was not. Not only were the pictures superior to others, he and his crew are wonderful to work with. He gets to know his clients. Pays special attention, making them feel comfortable and the brides feel beautiful. I especially love the passion he brings capturing special memories. We still look at our wedding pictures and are just amazed. We loved our wedding photos so much, requested he do our maternity photos as well. Who else would be comfortable shooting in the Quincy Mine for such a special occasion? Take a chance, feel beautiful and be amazed at the final product. Trust me. You will not be disappointed!

To put it simply, the experience of being photographed at Brockit is something extremely special. I’ve always had my own fears, insecurities, and shame around my body, but as soon as you step into Adam’s studio the world opens. Never have I felt so empowered and supported in a journey to love myself and through the magic of photography (especially Adam’s photography) I truly saw myself in a new light. I have gained more body-image confidence through two nano-shoots with Adam than I’ve had in years. I cannot recommend this business enough; you will never be disappointed in the photos you see.

I’ve worked with Adam a handful of times, and it is always a pleasure. On top of being insanely talented, he is one of the kindest, most approachable people I know. Any nerves you may have vanish when he takes charge. He is skilled not only in the art of photography, but also easing you out of your comfort zone, with astonishing results. I most recently hired brockit for a family wedding, and the photos are stunning, as always. The entire family is blown away. I am forever in awe of Adam’s gorgeous work! I don’t understand his sorcery, but I’m always glad to witness it. We will treasure the beautiful memories Adam captured for years to come. I look forward to working with him again in the future!

Adam took our wedding pictures on the beach in Pajara Dunes and Monterey, California and we couldn’t have been happier with them! Each and every picture Adam takes is unique and beautiful in its own way! We loved working with him and his assistant. We would not have changed a thing! If you want pictures taken that you’ll cherish forever, hire him as your photographer! We HIGHLY recommend him!

We had Adam take photos for our business website and they turned out great. 💚 He made the staff, and my husband and I, feel comfortable in front of the camera. That wasn’t an easy task. I’ve also seen Adam covering the Canal Run and supporting the community in different ways. I would absolutely recommend Adam and his crew.

I have not yet had the opportunity to be photographed by Brockit- but let me tell you! If I ever have the means to be professionally photographed in this town.. they’re the ones I want to do it! I have met Adam numerous times out in the community (and hiking Isle Royale) and he is so laid back and personable! Definitely someone I would want to have behind the camera. All of the images that come from his camera are incredible! I have many close friends who have had the pleasure of working with Brockit for their special day or just- any occasion. One day soon I will be writing this review from my own experience.. but until then, I will keep supporting them! 👏🏽

When we were planning our wedding, one of the first things out of my mouth was “We are getting Adam from Brockit … not open for debate!” And “If he’s not available for our date we’ll just have to move the date is all”.
I had taken a photography class from adam and was just so impressed with how much passion he has for his art. I learned so much from him and used both the information he taught me, and his previous works to inspire me to want to take pictures and turn what was inside my head into a tangible piece of “art”.

Luckily for me my wife was on board 100% and our engagement photos as well as our wedding photos were beyond what we could have imagined. And to top it all off, my wedding gift from my wife was a private photo workshop with Adam. If anyone were to ask me who I would recommend for pictures. I can proudly say “I know just the guy for that!” Thank you Adam for all you do and share with the world!

Amazing experience having Adam take our wedding photos. Everyone was a pleasure to work with. Adam is an amazing artist that captures beautifully any subject in his view.

I have worked with Adam twice now and both he and his team work to make sure you are 100% comfortable at all times. His artist eye is beyond compare. And looking at his photography shows that he will go above and beyond for what you want or he sees will be the best.

The 2022 Canal Run photos are AMAZING! We are so grateful to Adam for once again being there and are so appreciative of his work and support. The photos he captured of me hugging my kiddos when they crossed the finish line brought tears to my eyes – so unbelievably special.

I can not say enough good things about Adam at Brockit Photography. When COVID de-railed our original wedding plans, we opted to elope to the Keweenaw for a lakeside ceremony. Adam was wonderful- we couldn't have asked for a more professional and talented photographer.
