Family-owned and operated for over 100 years. I have been coming here since I was a kid, and so did my Pèpére (grandfather). The atmosphere is reminiscent of an old French-Canadian diner. The space is a tad cramped, but that's part of the charm. Don't forget to say hi to Jimmy, Linda, and George!

If you are looking for a historic, no frills and affordable experience (or specifically for a hotdog) then this is your spot. Right by the park, this family-owned business just celebrated 50 years under the current family leadership who's grandfather opened the original stand in the same location in 1908, later becoming the original permanent structure that is there today. You will most definitely meet the family when you visit.
They have Hotdogs (the red ones) with a variety of toppings including, chilli dogs, burgers of a few kinds with toppings and combo meals, fried chicken and fish sandwiches (quick diner kind), regular sandwiches like grilled chees, ham and cheese, etc., hand cut fries (the day I went - in pics I see the frozen kind have been used too), big onion rings (hey! you get to choose either or both), and a full breakfast menu, with daily sweets (looked like peanut butter cup cupcakes when I visited) and specials. Wednesday's is a steamed dog for $1.50 a piece, I believe. Simones' offers soups, salads and more too (I didn't try on this visit). But most come here for the breakfast and the hotdogs, and the price.
Sit at the counter to watch the action, grab a table or take it to go. Drinks are grab-n-go from the cooler.
This is a family-run business that is a part of the community it serves. Sign the guest book and see who else has visited.

I brought a friend with me. I've been there before. It has been a while, but as soon as I walked in, I was treated like an old friend. I even got a hug. The food is great. I had a burger and my friend wanted a hot dog. If I am in the area again, I will be back.. if going, you might have to find parking. There is parking there, but the place is busy, so you might have to look for a place to park. But it is worth it.

This was a wonderful place to stop for dogs and burgers after taking my son and his friend to the trampoline park! Now if only my boy had heeded the warning that the chili dog would be too much for him.

This is probably the oldest restaurant in Maine. Nothing fancy, but always friendly.

Awesome nostalgia all-around in this old fashioned diner, built in 1908! This is a traditional family-owned and operated diner, with very friendly service and they treat you just like family. I definitely recommend trying their red hot dogs, fully loaded (mustard, relish, and onions) of course 😋

Nothing is ever going to top the original Bolley's in Waterville, but this is a good second best.

Have had the 2 steamed dogs with chili on top for lunch (no breakfast); Beef dog with Fries, & just yesterday I had a Double CheeseBurger with Fries. A 20oz. drink of choice. All good filling items we all enjoy, whether our cholesterol likes it or not. Lots of locals stopping in, warm, friendly atmosphere, even if you're new to them. Home made soups, I understand (have not tried as yet,) are great. Just a wonderful place to land and have dine-in or take-out. Staff works very hard, remember you. More places like ? There are none - quite sad - to my knowledge.

The chili cheese dog wasn't what I was expecting, however it was a pleasant surprise. Its more like chili with a hotdog and bun underneath. I actually found this quite enjoyable and far more filling than the typical version of the dish would be. Service was quick and professional. This establishment had a very strong neighborhood gathering place feel. I think its awesome when places have this because its become increasingly rare.
