Coming back for the third time to this place. Great service, very clean and well maintained cabins, sauna is the best in a cold winter. We enjoyed our stay there

Great family stop. Cabin #5 we’re clean and had all the amenities needed to prepare food and clean up after being out in the woods. We used the lodge great room for some meals to spread out.
We rented side by sides and hit the trails that are just footsteps away from the cabins.
Location, price (cash discount), cabins and side by side rentals…made it a great time. Would come back.

Love it here. Perfect for snowmobile trips with a group of friends. It is right off of the trail with plenty of room to park. I stayed here my first trip to Michigan and have stayed and will stay here every time I go.

We stayed here to visit our son during Family Weekend hosted by MTU at cabin 6. I can honestly say, this is absolutely the most cleanest, nicest units my wife and I have ever stayed in! Owning our own rental cabin, we notice detail things and try our best to pay attention and give our cabin a personal home touch. And this cabin did just that! Nice wall decor, full function kitchen, clean bath, photo frame of snowmobile guests, share your memory book, wood/log furniture. Kitchen had basic needs to assist in cooking. Picnic table and grill were provided (though we did not use these because we were with our Husky all weekend). And each cabin had a small deck with rocking chairs!. So homey. Heat was in floor heating and preset at a comfortable 72 degrees and also had a gas fireplace. The only negative would be the futon couch. Futons are really not very comfortable and after a long day, we wanted to sit and watch a bit of TV. The hard futon made it difficult t sit comfortably in. But we made it work. I cannot compare cost value for our cabin was overkill for our needs for it actually could sleep 10 and we got it due to a cancellation and other accommodations in the area were available. But what I can say, is it sure was very quiet at night in our own cabin as opposed to a noisy hotel room. That alone was worth every penny. Thank you Lori and crew! Wonderful experience, all the staff was very professional and polite. The main hall was great for group cooking and the cabins had what you needed. The location is also great! Only a few minutes from any store you need and the trails begin immediately.

Great cabins, great location, great amenities at a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this place if you enjoy the Houghton area without the Houghton prices.

Very nice private cabins with heated tile floors and fireplace. Clean and welcoming everytime. Perfect location in one of the best snow locations in the UP. This is my 3rd stay here with a 4th trip booked already. Highly recommend!!

So much space for the price. Very clean. Friendly owners. We have stayed several times. Been there in the summer and the winter. We don’t stay anywhere else when we are up there.

Beautiful cabin, perfect location. Our only complaint is the firmness of the futon cushion and mattress. A little stiff! But otherwise, wonderful! Perfect location for when we moved our daughter to MTU.

I loved the cabin. The trails were beat to snot, but the cabin was very nice. Fireplace and plenty of room to hang our wet gear every night. In floor heat is a very nice touch!

Very clean and spacious for our family. Convenient location for our family to explore the surrounding area and still make time to play up in copper harbor. We were not looking for a place to stay and hangout through the day... so this was perfect for us.

Just returned home from a snowmobile trip to the Keweenaw/South Range area. Cannot say enough about how great the accomodations at Wildlife Refuge was. Had 10 people in our group and the Great Room was an awesome place for us all to have meals and play cards at night. Lori and her staff were very accommodating and the cabins are very well kept. Cannot wait to find a reason to get back soon and I will recommend to anyone making a trip to the area

Very well kept facility with clean and comfortable accommodations. Located just South of Houghton on snowmobile Trail 3, it's a perfect place to stay while riding in the UP. Plenty of room for parking large trailers as well.

Excellent location right on the trail. Very clean and warm inside, with in-floor heating and a gas fireplace! Check out the sauna and Lodge too everyone is very friendly. Great stay!

Comfortable cabins with awesome wildlife themes/artwork. Located in a quiet spot in South Range but easy access to M 26, snowmobile/ ATV trails and close to dining and shopping. Close to all the Keewenaw has to offer!

Cabins are cozy, clean, and comfortable. Owners and staff do their best to provide what you need. Highly recommend. We have went back several times.😊
