I recently had the pleasure of visiting Distinctive Toys, and I must say it is an absolute delight for toy enthusiasts of all ages. From the moment I stepped inside, I was transported to a world filled with wonder, imagination, and endless possibilities.
The store's layout was thoughtfully designed, making it easy to navigate through their extensive collection. Each aisle was neatly organized by age group and toy category, allowing me to find exactly what I was looking for without any hassle. The bright and colorful displays added to the overall excitement and made browsing a joyous experience.
One thing that truly stood out about them was their incredible selection of toys. They have everything from classic board games to trendy action figures, educational puzzles to interactive robotic toys – there's something for every interest and preference imaginable. SHOP AT DISTINCTIVE TOYS THEY ARE THE BEST! Distinctive toys is a Fair Haven staple and really wonderful people work there. They stock the shelves with classics and really cool new innovative toys. I love shopping there and the services (like gift wrapping) they provide in store! Additionally, I absolutely concur with other reviewers on the fact that the owner and staff members are trying to protect the community by having everyone (including staff) wear masks. It protects the numerous children that enter the store that are not vaccinated. I appreciate that as a community member and mother.

This place is great.
Keep in mind that every 1-star review since the pandemic started is from someone who didn’t want to wear a mask, get their temperature taken, or use hand sanitizer.
This store is probably the single safest business in the area in terms of covid-19 precaution.

Our favorite toy store! I come here for every birthday gift and for Christmas presents. The staff is super friendly and helpful and their recommendations are always right on the money. Plus they'll wrap everything, which is a nice bonus.

We LOVE this store and I HIGHLY recommend to anyone who wants a fun shopping experience to come here! All of the staff is knowledgeable and personable, especially if you’re in a rush!! Let them know the age and interest and they present you with a lot of ideas (wrapping and making it look amazing as well)! The owner is amazing, loves children, and EXTREMELY GENEROUS!! Distinctive Toys is an amazing toy store, an absolute treasure and we are so so fortunate to have it in town. They always have just the right toy for the right occasion. They know all the toys and have the ability to think outside the box and find the thing you didn’t know you were looking for, but totally needed.

They are wonderful members of the community, providing good jobs to local folk, and supporting local toy drives.

The distinctive Toys in Fair Haven is the place to be. The staff is knowledgeable and maintains a consistent level of professionalism. Prices are right on point considering their beautiful and might I add complimentary wrapping. The owner of the store is personable and kind. A businesswoman who sets the highest standard of personal services and patience that all other small business owners should follow. Our number one destination to relieve boredom and find unique birthday gifts! Beautiful wrapping paper and personalized items for boys and girls round out a superb selection of games and activity sets. The wonderful owner informally keeps tabs on which presents local birthday children have been given so you know they will not need to return it, and if they do return it, the exchange is simple and served with a smile.

I rarely write reviews but I recently had the most amazing customer service experience at Distinctive Toys. They were the only store I could find in NJ (and online) that had a $2.00 sticker book in stock that is at the top of my son's Christmas list. In spite of how small the purchase was, and the fact that it was one of their busiest days of the year, they bent over backwards on the phone to help me even though I live an hour away. Thank you!

We've been shopping @ this store for the past 10+ years. The staff is warm, friendly and knowledgeable. They've got a FANTASTIC assortment of toys - both on trend + classic. I've been to just about every toy store in the surrounding area - and Distinctive Toys is hands down the best toy store around.

I couldn’t love this store more. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and always knows just the right thing to recommend. They’ve helped me discover some really fun things for my kids. Recently they turned me on to Storytime Chess, which has my very active 3 and 4 year old actually sitting down to play chess. Amazing!

Distinctive Toys has been a part of my life for almost 30 years. First, as a child who shopped with my parents. Then as a teen and young adult who worked for the wonderful owner, on and off for eight years. Now, an an adult who shops there for gifts. It is the perfect, creative, fun, small town toy shop (plus they wrap!). It's a community staple.

Shopped her yesterday and found the store extremely well stocked and three young sales girls who were fabulous in making suggestions for my two grandsons and then wrapping the gifts as well. Will always make this my first stop for toys because I like the small store ambiance, great parking and helpful staff.

It’s a shame this place got a negative review because they are fantastic! We frequent this store and they are extremely helpful and courteous. In fact just last week after we completed our purchase, my daughter begged for a sticker that was near the register. The sales person who I believe was the owner gave it to her for free. Now I realize it cost less than a dollar but a gesture such as that makes me want to return to a store. I also enjoy the free wrapping!!!!

Great, little, local shop! The perfect place to get unique gifts for birthday parties — and they wrap for you. In a pinch, you can call ahead and they will have it ready when you arrive. Honestly, can’t say enough about this special toy shop, except it’s a must! ☺
