Great little country store and amazing cheese! Highly recommend the 4-year aged cheddar if you’re there in March when they release each vintage.

Harman's is a very tiny Country Store in the heart of the village of Sugar Hill. A small one-room family-owned store for many decades, the minute you walk in it feels like one of those places that time has just somehow passed by. It is worth stopping, if only for the experience of seeing what something like a one room store looked like over a 100 years ago. Though no longer owned by the original Harman family, it is still a place where are you can expect an old-fashioned, personal welcome from the staff.

For years they have been most famous for their selection of cheese, in particular a sharp, well aged cheddar cheese. If this is something you like, then it is worth taking the time to go out of your way and see this little place. We have been stopping by Faithfully for decades whenever we happen to be in this part of the state. They also have a mail-order business as well, so it is easy to stay stocked up on their wonderful product.

You will also find a mixed selection of locally made gifts, tee-shirts, boutique food items, and information on local events. There is plenty of parking immediately behind the store as well as on the street.

Small, sweet warm and welcoming little shop.my husband and I left the kids in the car and shopped one at a time on our own. We each left with quite a few things. There were lots of local food choices both fresh and canned to bring home. The field behind the shop is picturesque. Please keep it way and stay off the flowers

Wonderful selection of locally made products and delicacies, as well as a variety of Harman's own cheeses which are available to sample. Being a specialty foods enthusiast, this was like heaven to me. There were so many choices I could hardly make up my mind. Definitely would stop here again next time I'm in the area.

If you are in the area, this is a great place to stop for local (NH, VT, NY) cheeses (including Hartman's cheddar), honey, syrup, crackers, jam/jelly, baked goods, and souvenirs. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. Ample parking around back.

Quaint country store nestled in the beautiful mountains surrounding Sugar Hill. They have some of the best cheese, as well as maple syrup, and other souvenirs. Make sure to bring either check, or cash. Worth the stop.

Much smaller than anticipated but; I was anticipating something like the Vermont Store of which it is definitely not. Quaint little place. The woman who greeted us was super friendly. Not much in the way of gifts but grabbed some cheese (aged cheddar as well as some smaller herb cheddars). Definitely worth a quick trip when staying nearby- we were in Lisbon- and support local farmers.

Such a cool spot with an old general store feel. Remember The Waltons TV show? This place is right from the show! Awesome cheeses and locally made baked goods. Definitely try the 4 year old aged cheddar!

I've been visiting Harmons for several years because I love their cheeses. I live in the south now so every trip to New England means a stop to buy Cheese.

I work at Lincoln sign company, Herman's cheese and county store has asked Lincoln sign company to refurbish their old sign. I had the pleasure of meeting with the owner incredibly nice, must visit if new to the area or just passing through. Their cheddar cheese is my opinion 5star A+

Harman's aged cheddar cheese is the best in the whole world ---- period! There is no comparison. The shop is filled with cheese, area honey, cheese spreads, crackers, and a HUGE selection of some of the best jellies, jams, and condiments, and the ones I've tried were excellent!

I've been going here since the 1970s so, I know. The only problem is that once you've tried their aged cheddar cheese, you will never want any other.

Loved this little country store! They have samples of different cheeses to try. I went home with some incredible 3-year old Cheddar. The smoked Cheddar was amazing as well.

Very cool little store to visit if your up in this area. They have a lot of neat stuff. There cheese is amazing. They have these cheese bites that I recently got when I was here last and they are amazing. Cheap too. About $5 for a big container. I also got some lime soda which is made locally. And they have a bunch of different soda flavors. I gave been coming up to this store to visit for over 25 years. The people that work there seem nice. Low key but that's what alot of people in this area are like. Overall good experience and I'll definitely be stopping back by next time I'm in the area. You should too.
