Carvers Steakhouse

Fantastic place! My wife and I went here while at the Greek Oeak resort and we both loved it. I got the Virgil Elk burger which was delicious and not the least bit gamey. My wife got the meatloaf which was moist and full of flavor, as were the mashed potatoes she got on the side. The bacon the meatloaf may have been just slightly overcooked but this didn’t impact how it tasted. Cheese bread and this liquefied garlic butter was served with the meal which was also delicious. The server was attentive and professional. Would definitely come back again. Some of the best food I ever had in Cortland County.

This is what a steakhouse should be! Our server, Carly, was very friendly and attentive without be overbearing. She was also very accommodating even with out party of 8. I had the tomahawk steak. It was cooked to perfection. Accompanied by Himalayan pink sea salt and coarse black pepper. The fries were amazing as well. My wife had the filet which was cooked perfectly as well. Very satisfied with the food and service! Bar is fully stocked with great bourbon and scotch choices. Plenty of wine selections as well. Highly recommend this place for a.great steak.

The tomahawk steaks are amazing, our group split it amongst the table. Staff every time has been top tier and accommodating. The remodel of the restaurant space came out great.

Ended up using Carver's for my wedding dinner, they sat down with us to plan an amazing custom tailored dinner in the back of the main lodge, everything turned out great.

Cozy steakhouse inside Hope Lake Lodge. We ate there for two nights and liked all of our food both nights. The service was great, the food was awesome, and it is in a very convenient location. Warm bread served in a skillet complimentary. If I could, I would give it a 6 star review. It was easy to make a reservation and also easy to modify it, didn't have to wait for table, and the service and hostesses were nice. Definitely coming here again.

Spent the weekend at Greek Peak and stopped in for a few drinks at the bar, enjoy some adult time. Nicole was our bartender and she was absolutely fabulous. From her amazing drinks to talking us into some delicious food that we had not intended on ordering but we were not disappointed. The spinach dip with pita bread was out of this world . Nicole’s hospitality was amazing, the cleanliness of the bar while she was there was excellent and she never missed a beat. Highly recommend if you are staying, visit Nicole for some great drinks, food and conversation!

Took a family of twelve here for a birthday dinner. It’s worth the drive time. Fantastic service, with wonderful food. The steaks however were absolutely fantastic. It’s rare that I spend so much for a steak and actually find it worth it, but I was very pleasantly surprised.

Delicious food. On the pricey side. Kids menu: everything is Ala carte (ex. Chicken fingers but no fries). Breakfast on weekends. Took food to go but the bar and restaurant ambiance looked really nice. Regular sized portions, don't expect left overs.

We went to Carvers for Easter Dinner 2023. I must say. Our waitress was very friendly, and willing to come back to our table many times to check on us, and bring me something I wasn't expecting. I asked for steak sauce for my 16oz. Ribeye, and just wow. It is expensive, but the waitress made it worth while, and the chef did an awesome job on everything brought to our table. I would highly recommend, and yes, I will go back again.

We are celebrating our 52nd wedding anniversary and wanted to try this but the reviews weren't all favorable. So we gave it a try even though it was an hour drive. WONDERFUL!. Food was delicious! Servers were personable and attentive. Generous portions allowed us to take home a doggy bag. (But not giving this to my dog) highly recommend this restaurant

As always, our dinner was exceptional. Best steak in the area. Better than a well known one we went to in NYC once! Staff is always terrific as well!

Amazing dinner and wonderful service. Steak tips for an appetizer were flavorful and tender. We tried the shrimp scampi, the filet, and the salmon with a couple family style sides. Everything we ate was delicious and portions felt generous. Our server was very attentive throughout the entire evening (and helpful with menu decisions, too!). Will definitely be back!

Best meal in Cortland County. Went with our son & daughter in law who travel worldwide for their careers and the Carvers entrees totally impressed them ! Very reasonable prices!

The staff was great. The manager let me take a menu back to our room. We shared small talk while I waited for our food. I ordered an Arnold Palmer and it took longer than I hoped before it was served. As I was thirsty. The waitress was nice, efficient, and hospitable. The meals are pricy, but we were able to order a couple appetizers, and a Burger which was enough to feed 2 adults. The beef was the best beef I've ever tasted. A wagyu burger with provolone, onion rings, sautéed mushrooms, and aioli sauce. A perfect medium rare, beer battered onion rings, and mushrooms in a bordelaise sauce. Tasty beef tenderloins with mushrooms and brown sauce with fresh herbs. The food came quickly and I only wished I had ordered some lemons for the fried calamari. I was very impressed by the quality of food, the preparation, and the people who worked there. I would definitely recommend anything there. 👌

Food was excellent. They were willing to accommodate two very picky children and were very kind about it. Service was prompt and flavor was excellent. Good selection. Very willing to go again.

This dinner was very good! It was served in a timely manner and the staff was very friendly. The ambience was nice and quiet with dim lighting, good to calm down after a long day of fun. Not to busy and a calm place to sit and eat without interruption.

Wow!! So different than our last experience when it was the Acorn Grill. We live in the area and like to support local business. Heard that the restaurant had relaunched as Carvers and decided to stop in and try breakfast. Best eggs Benedict I’ve had in a LONG time. Breakfast potatoes were crispy, hot and cooked perfectly. Even the OJ impressed me as it was not the cheap stuff out of a carton. Service was fast and everyone was super friendly! Kudos to Carvers for taking a step back and elevating the bar. Can’t wait to come back for lunch and dinner!

Had the best pasta marinara. The bread is amazing! Good view, and friendly and welcoming employees.
