Was very impressed with the service and the food . I have been here multiple times in the past . Today was my wife’s first experience here and she also enjoyed it very much . Definitely recommend the French onion and corn chowder . We also did the pretzels the mustard was great the cheese definitely needs work. We decided on the meatloaf and the pot roast special. The pot roast was great the meatloaf was burnt again this is my second time having it and both times it was burnt and not like enjoyable burnt edges . I don’t know why I thought hey maybe it was a bad day but apparently that’s the way it is . Other then that everything else was great

Fantastic food. The pub is a fantastic dish recommended by a manager there. There was a wait for a table when we got there but on a cold day the fire place really hit the spot and the bartender was friendly and helpful with suggestions. Thought parking lot but street parking is available

The bastion of Irish American culture and style. The place has a great atmosphere as well as service.

The server never let our DR nos go totally empty. She constantly checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed including delicious hot meals.

The cornbeef was perfect. It was thinly sliced and tender. Potatoes and carrots were tender as well.

The roast beef was good enough to guarantee my son's silence. Not a complaint from captain fussy.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Blackthorn Restaurant, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The ambiance was cozy, the service was attentive, and the menu offered a variety of enticing options. I ordered the Tots, Crab Cakes, Beef on weck, and Cheddar Beer Soup,

The Tots were perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, making them an irresistible appetizer. The Beef on Weck was juicy and flavorful.

On a 90 degree day the Cheddar Beer Soup, it was comforting.

However, I must admit that the Crab Cakes fell slightly short of my expectations. Spice overload.

Still highly recommend Blackthorn Restaurant for its inviting atmosphere, attentive service, and overall delicious offerings.

This restaurant was great! We went at a bit of a lull in the mid afternoon but the wait staff was so friendly and the food was delicious :)

We tried the stuffed banana peppers and crab cakes to start (pictured) and both were incredible. The peppers come with 5 so probably the better option if you're with a group. Then we had the house salad and a Reuben sandwich with the jalepeño cheddar tator tots which are amazing! Could be better with a side of ranch if that's something you're into. Would definitely go back next time I'm in the area.

This place is absolutely phenomenal. The French Onion Soup was the best I have ever had. The wings are good, the beef on Weck was good and Beer Cheese Soup was one of a kind and it was also great!. I spent 2 hours trying to pick a place to eat in Buffalo and am definitely happy with my pick!

We had dinner in one of the igloos last night. It was great....the food, the service and the ambiance! One of the women in our party said that she felt like she was in a warm hug! If you are thinking of trying this experience, do it! You won't be disappointed!!

Food was Great!! (Yum!) Service was Fantastic (great sever with a wonderful attitude). Atmosphere was relaxing yet exciting. Highly recommend you check this place out!! 👌

Highly recommend The Pub "The Big Guy's Favorite" Sandwich. The meat I so freaking tender, and the onions add just the right amount of crunch (and I'm not an onion lover at all). This place will be held in a special place in my heart...and stomach. Lol

I had to write this review before leaving the building, it’s THAT good.
We’re from Canada but travel to Buffalo often and the last 3 trips we made a point of stopping here for grub. We can’t get enough of it.
The spin dip is to DIE for and they make better poutine than anywhere I’ve eaten in Canada. 10/10 you can’t go wrong with this place.

Great food me and my girlfriend both got the fish fries definitely one of the best fish fries I've ever had was crispy but the fish was so moist we only waited about 15 minutes to be seated our waitress was pleasant!
Our bill was $42 + $8 tips

Everything was delicious. Best beef on weck around! The Staff are always top-notch!

This place is great! The atmosphere is very cool. Everyone is very friendly. The food tasted great! Great customer service! I definitely recommend coming here!

One of the best crab cakes, honey glazed salmon, French onion chicken was very good. And they’re Buffalo wings were great! 👍🏽

Delicious food. The multi platter is a great sampling of the best that they have to offer. The crab cakes were exceptional.

Great bar/ restaurant, chill place to with friends and family. The food is -Always - delicious and on point! Cozy in the winter & roomy outdoor space available in the warmer season.

I had tha Triple D Special and my wife had a Ruben. The food was great it's homemade. The staff is very friendly. They have a good size parking lot to the left of the pub. Well worth the stop easy on and of of the Thruway.
