Shaw Wetland & Vernal Pool

Very pretty little boardwalk and trail. It's about 1/3 of a mile total, so very easy walk. They have a storybook part of the trail currently about frogs which is adorable. Not a lot of water currently since the weather has been quite warm. There is an overlook as well which was nice to be above the vernal pool to watch birds. Parking lot is massive with plenty of space. There are benches near the parking lot as well as a couple picnic tables. One Porta Potty on site as well.

Very nice for peace and quiet. Other families were enjoying it too. It is next to a bicycle trail, it's very nice and it's free!

Nice place to go and see nature on your lunch break if you work nearby. There is a bike path that is right next to this as well.

I loved going here. It was very fun, and had beautiful scenery. I would mostly recommend coming here in the spring or summer when the weather is nicer, and when it’s more dry out, because it was a little flooded today due to the rain. I went here with my school and we had many fun activities, and they thought us about food webs, ecosystems, and the outdoors. I loved walking on the bike trail, the trees made a beautiful view. I would rate this trip a 9/10, because if you walk through the fields it is squishy and s little flooded. But anyways, I would recommend taking a trip here and checking it out! A great place to explore the outdoors 🌳

We love this place it's very peaceful and love the nature

I love the wetlands! My family and I have spent many happy hours here walking or bike riding. It’s quiet and peaceful, but you get to hear a lot of wild life sounds and often spot little critters, squirrels, mice, bunnies, skunks, dragon flies, frogs. Really fun for the kids. I wish other users would work harder not to leave garbage behind in this beautiful place!!!

I really enjoy the walk on the board walk during the different seasons. Each season has its own beauty. I stop here when I ride the bicycle trail or like today just drove over.
