McClure's Restaurant

Can anyone explain this to me? You order a chocolate shake with chocolate ice cream. They give you a chocolate shake made with vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup! Note to who's in charge...that isn't a chocolate shake...especially when I asked for chocolate ice cream! Other than that, I have loved McClure's for 50 years! Their food is awesome, but why can't a person have an actual CHOCOLATE shake?

Had a wonderful meal at this place! You eat right on the Ohio River too! What a great view we had. Food was delicious and service “sweet!” We highly recommend this place if you’re passing through!

Food was so tasty and fresh. The fries are super crispy. The fishtail sandwich was incredible. You will be happy you ate here.

First off, this is the cleanest restaurant I've been to in a long time, so good job on that! I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and my husband and I split a large onion ring. Great taste on all the above. Onion rings are cut the perfect size & the batter is flavorful and they are cooked perfectly. The only thing lacking on the tasty burger was a toasted bun. That would have got the 5th star. But great place to eat and nice view as well. I saw your reply and had to change it to 5*! I should have asked. :)

Such a shame they are selling this place, they have the absolute best milk shakes you can get in town and hotdogs 🌭, best staff as well

It's always an enjoyable experience Takes straight back to my childhood happy memories of all wonderful times throughout my childhood spent either at the old restaurant nextdoor to the time I moved away for college. Since being back home this past year after 25 years I often visit either the Pomeroy location by my house or the middleport location for a much or more to remember the happiness as for the Sonny Burgers fried spicy hot pickles and large pineapple, peach, or some other fruity flavored large milkshake that's really to big to finish but to good to not try to. Good food Good service from the daughters or the people I grew up with and offers me the feeling of being connected and a welcome member of a close community feeling like you I'm home.

Service was a little slow considering they were not really busy. However, the servers were very nice.

The prices are really cheap the food was amazing

Food was ordered,prepared quickly and was served hot and fresh.It was exactly as we ordered. An employee made rounds offering to get customers refills. The restaurant was clean, staff was friendly and it was a nice family experience. The milkshakes were fantastic.

Drive from Parkersburg WV to pomeroy oh just to eat here. Wonderful place 😁

Great milkshakes! A word of advice, though, the large is HUGE! Like big gulp size huge! We still laugh about the first time we went there and ignorantly ordered a large carmel shake. We were shocked when they handed us a gallon sized shake at the drive thru window. Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 adult size kids) couldn't finish it all. But it was delicious all the same!

The restaurant is always clean and the temperature is always comfortable. I've never had a problem with the staff, they will always go out of their way to help you. Good selection of food and ice cream.

Amazing milkshakes. The strawberry has real strawberries in it. The large is 64oz for 3 to 4dollars. There's usually a line but dont worry they are fast as they can be. They will also come out with a pen and paper and take your order so by the time you get yo the window your food is ready.
