West Recreation Field

Nice park. Good selection of playground activities for kids, many softball fields and a few baseball fields. Has an outdoor basketball court, a very nice splash pad and a nice sized gymnasium. I’m pretty sure the gym is only available to rent.

I love that my kids live in a community where the parks and rec are such a big part of their lives. The park is clean, well maintained and they have plenty of parking.. I love the new splash pad plus the toys and soccer/baseball fields makes west rec a place you could hang out at all day long and not get bored!! Great job Elyria!

It has a splash pad and skate park, swing sets good for kids.

One of the best splash pads around. Very clean, tons of water attractions, lots of seating, a great sized park, and it’s fenced in which is nice for little ones. Definitely recommend this one.

Wow...how things have changed since I grew up there. Really nice addition to the area.

It is a recreational park to take children, celebrate birthdays, special and family activities. Good for walking and taking your pets and even cycling, playing basketball, skateboards and an exclusive mussel area.

For the splash pad... Don't forget to turn on the water by hitting the button at either end. It might seem to be off when you get there... if no one else is around.

This place was fun and has a wide open area for playing. I recommend bringing your family or friends here.

The basketball court is drama free and great for the kids...the splash park is great wen it's hot

It is within walking distance of the apartment. They have a fireworks display, a school within walking distance too.

I love taking my kids here to use the fields/courts to practice. Well kept rec center!

It's nice place to go cool off on these hot summer days and admission is free.

It was great and I am thankful for the blowing off stream for the children in a sunday afternoon
