We had a great time at JoDean's! It was my friend's first time there and she loved it. She's normally not a fish person, but JoDean's fish is so good that she couldn't help but just chew and nod in approval. The atmosphere is so neat, with antiques at every glance on the walls, ceiling and the floor. Our waitress was awesome and remembered our drink selection and always stopped by to check on us. We will definitely come back.

Such a hidden gem! Visually this place is busy with all the interesting decor and I love it! You can either choose from their large buffet options or cook to order items. And let me tell you the 16oz Ribeye or $23.99 was fantastic! Service was exceptional and I'm almost certain there were more people constantly cleaning then there were patrons dining. If you want a delicious meal at affordable prices don't miss this place!

Absolutely FABULOUS start to finish! Great, excellent customer service and super friendly staff. Went on the seafood night, great choices like cod, catfish, shrimp prepared two way, crab and salmon plus all the the usual comfort food offerings. The restaurant also had many different pieces of art like old feed sacks, cars,other farming tools from the distant past. Go check it out its well worth the drive!!

This is a great find.
I had gone to three other places looking for a meal but I didn't go into the others. I'm glad I waited.
They have some excellent parsnips on the buffet along with bacon wrapped bratwurst and very light wall eye.
The entire meal, complete with beef stroganoff and beef tips was ever so succulent.
And all for less than $10!

We flew from Omaha to Yankton to hike at the lake and have lunch. We went to Jodeans. The menu features burgers, steaks, chicken, and Walleye. The hot food buffet and salad bar are quite fresh and tasty. I will be back! 🛩

It's great. Unfortunately they have closed their doors for good. The owner has retired after more than 50 years in business. Sadly we have lost an iconic restaurant.

JoDean's is a Yankton institution featuring large steaks and seafood.

Featuring an interior with iconic items associated with Midwestern farming and ranching it is fun just to wonder around and look at it all.

With a multi-station buffet reminiscent of a Vegas buffet, you will not leave the restaurant without feeling like you eaten enough food to last for day before your nezt meal.

Friday's and Saturday's are seafood buffet nights.

The food was top notch especially the chicken. The entire establishment was clean and decorated quite well. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive. I would recommend this place to anyone. I mean it's not every day you have a buffet of this caliber for the low price.

We googled places to eat in Yankton since we are from out of town and we read the reviews of other places and this place came up with good reviews. We walked in and were seated immediately, our sever was very nice… let me tell you about the FOOD!!! We ordered the the chicken drummers and mozzarella sticks you could feed a family of 4 with just the appetizers. But the star of our dinner was MEGA sirloin… it was cooked to perfection… everything about this place is great, def coming back when we are in town… 5 Stars

I'm from IL and was treated to JoDeans by some new friends during my visit to Yankton. Fantastic food! And I loved looking at all the antiques, too! You guys are great!

You cannot beat the $5 meals! It's typical buffet but Friday and Saturdays have seafood. The chicken is really good and so is the fish.

Hadn’t been able to eat there for a couple years so our family of 11 met there finally. Nothing has changed a bit. Great Food, Great Selection, Great Service. We will not out off getting together there again and will be doing it soon. Jack and Crew, You guys ROCK!!!

My wife and I had lunch there on Tuesday, all was excellent. We had the buffet ; fish, chicken, turkey, bbq pork, Cut for you,, brisket and ham,, excellent! Salads etc, good, but typical, all food was hot and fresh (12:00 noon). Our waitress was very attentive and helpful, friendly and could not ask for more from her. The atmosphere is spacious, and so interesting decorated with antiques. I see some are disappointed with their visit,, not us, and we travel and eat out often.

Absolutely great place .I travel for work putting up aircraft hangers on military bases and other places as well and have been to many places. I am a southern guy born and raised in north FL n this place was absolutely good food and atmosphere. Have been in town a week and have been here 3 times already!

Friendly and polite staff, great service, reasonable price and excellent food.
