I drove 1 hour out of my way past other SSA offices that were closer to me just to go to this office after hearing they had a better reputation. I did NOT have an appointment, I got there 15 minutes after 9 and only waited 45 minutes with maybe 10 people in line in front of me. I just needed to do a name change for recently getting married, once I was helped, it only took 5 minutes and I was out. Lance helped me, he made the process so simple and he was SO NICE. I was worried about being treated poorly from the typical reputations of the SSA offices and have heard some bad stories from other people I personally know at OTHER offices. Definitely worth driving out of the way to Marion for a much BETTER experience.

I drove about an hour to their office this morning and was surprised to see the office was well organized. The security officer checked my appointment time and let me in (he is very polite). The waiting room was clean and it took the gentleman several minutes to process my doc.

Weeks ago, I had called the office couple of times to schedule my appointment and they were flexible to meet my needs. Good job!

Just hope my doc. will be processed smoothly.

Absolutely dreaded taking my 85 year old mother to the Marion office to straighten out multiple issues.
What a great experience it turned out to be! Darrell was absolutely wonderful, he was so patient and so kind and so helpful it just made such a difference. We really appreciated the time he took with us — even the guard at the door was extremely kind and helpful and nice to everybody that walked in… I highly recommend this office for service !

I just went to the office today with my friend from Columbus, OH. Office personal was really nice to help me out and in no time my job got done. Just that travel distance is more but had a good time overall.

I was prepared to meet this interview with a predetermined sense of dread, which always seems to be the way the interviewer ends up making me feel, that was not the case here. The interviewer put me at ease, competent, in complete control, the interviewer made sure I understood the questions, made sure I was comfortable with my answers and made sure I was at ease, she seemed to understand how it feels, her tactics were just right, and I would never have said this before I experienced this office and its timeliness was unparalleled. Every agency should take notice of these skills and implement them into their office, no matter what type of business they have. This is how things should be when conducting sensitive, serious matters of life, and well being is utmost important, no matter who and where we are, this is how it should be done. Thanks to those there....keep up the fine work....I appreciate you very much.

This office is fantastic! I have dealt with them on the phone several times and each time I have been directed quickly to a live person who has helped me quickly and painlessly resolve my issues. I know things are difficult working remotely, but you are doing a great job! Thank you.

The lady I spoke with today 4-22-2019 was kind professional and on her job.

I got there before they were open on a Tuesday morning. There was already a line waiting out front to get in. Once the door opened, the security guard was kind and the check in process went quickly. I didn't even get a chance to sit down before they called my number. The gentlemen who helped me was very kind and professional. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes.

Drove 45 minutes to Marion SS office and the drive was well worth it! Courteous, fast service like I’ve never experienced. Representatives from the SSA 800 number never answered my questions as concisely as this office did. Thank you!

I've visited the office on several occasions and had excellent service. Just called and got Holly, who understood quickly what information I was seeking, provided it and offered to send a summary in the mail. Very efficient. Excellent service. Thanks!

Todd helped my brother Troy Brush, with his ssi case, and made us usually feel like normal human-beings, instead of another statistic. He goes above and beyond, to make sure that you receive all information you need to make an informed decision, based on the statistics of your case. Thank you for being extremely Empathetic. This is how all government workers should be. Especially, since Social Security should be received by actual disability.

I was in and out within 20 minutes! Everyone here was so kind and quick.

Best SS office ever. They always take care of any issues and are very well trained and nice people . SS should use this office as an example of how all of them should be.
