Newport Creamery

I’ve come to this location many times and it’s my wife’s favorite (happy wife…happy life). They have great food choices from healthy and fresh…to juicy greasy and delicious (the greasy part is a guy thing and I’m a fan). Plus great dessert choices involving ice cream, cookies, waffles, brownies and more! This place is always clean and well maintained…including the bathrooms. The service is always good, even near closing time. The atmosphere is pleasant and the climate is cool. They always get the orders right (well…99% of the time) and they don’t constantly ask “How is everything?” while you’re busy chewing or half-gulping your root beer float (now I’m craving one).
Newport Creamery is a great place to go eat alone (you can pig out this way) or with your whole family. The ice creams aren’t too sugary and the whipped cream is made right there daily and it’s not sugary either. So eat up!…and have a strawberry shake, root beer float, cheeseburger and a hotdog for me…oh!…and a waffle with ice cream on it too!!

Wonderful little restuarant and creamery! Food was delicious and the ice cream was deadly good. A house favorite ice cream flavor is Crazy Vanilla (rainbow colors, see pics of it in a chocolate chip cookie sandwich). Server was a gem. If you're in the mood for a local version of Friendlys, definitely check this out-- it's tastier!

Old time memories are great here.
25yrs later still the same great atmosphere and food. The awful awful challenge is still here. Drink 3 get next one free. Dad and I did it back then now he watches from above as I enjoyed a coffee flavored one.

Really nice staff, good service, solid menu options. It's a fun place to hang out on a Sunday and have coffee and grilled cheese.

It was a nice meal and great ice cream. It feels like childhood and even though a chain, kind of like a neighborhood place. Out server was fantastic. We had melts, wraps, sundaes and banana splits. They were all very good and reasonably priced. We will all be back. We left happy and satisfied.

I'm allergic to cinnamon and they made it special for me without it. Also, I have a small service dog that helps me with Lupus flare ups and they didn't hassle me at all about bringing her with me. In fact the waitress commented how cute she was. Very nice staff. :)

I only eat the ice cream in this establishment it's the best around the watermelon sherbet is the best it's always sold-out tho only in seekonk is it available sometimes

We went here for hamburgers and awful awfuls, both were excellent.

Went Wednesday, the evening before Thanksgiving. Got an awful awful and a sundae with a brownie in it.

It was DELICIOUS!, The service was extremely personable and professional. The same gentleman who took my order also made it.

Such a nice, guy! Made it exactly as I asked with a smile.

I appreciate his proficiency and expertise. Tallish guy w neat braids but, not long braids.

Give him a raise, hes a keeper!

Really good clam chowder and the server Kiara was very nice.

Always a great place for a sandwich or burger and, of course, ice cream. Excellent service. Patrick was great -- friendly, helpful, and funny. It was a wonderful experience.

We had Kiara as a waitress. The restaurant closes at 10pm, but she heard me ask if we cld get something else other than ice cream. We arrived around 9:20pm. She checked and the mgr allowed us to have anything that cld be done in the fryolator. She was not only personable, but very accommodating. If you ever visit this location (Smith Hill, Providence, RI) ask to be seated in her section. You won't be disappointed. Enjoy 😊

Went during St Patrick day parade. Service was great! My server Brionna was very friendly and communicated with us perfectly. She talked to us & made the experience! Will be returning

I went with a friend and got ice cream and it was delicious!!

I only stopped in for ice cream to go. Maple walnut lacked flavor but frozen pudding was great. I looked at the menu too. The prices are reasonable for typical American style fare. I plan on going back for a sandwich. I loved Newport Creamery when I was a kid.

All of my meal was delicious. I live in NC but was raised in RI. I have missed the Awful Awful and cheeseburger with the red relish and French fries. I was not disappointed!!
