Scenic location great to stop at for a bit of lunch and to view the Devils postile a set of hexagonal rock formations that look like posts much like the Giants causeway, in Ireland. The park has a few picnic spots and has a rangers hut with the history of the monument. Has a few trails to walk and hasn't been over developed for tourists.

This is where you go to get to Devils Postpile! You can get here through car, but most people get dropped off by the bus. You buy the bus pass at the Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort. You get there bus there as well and if you want yo go to Devils Postpile, here is where it would drop you off and you would wait for it here as well!

It’s a very short walk from here to get the the rock monument!

Beautiful spot. Definitely a must see! Enjoyed the very short hike to the monument and top of it, about a quarter of a mile. Lots to see around and explore. Trail is very pretty and well maintained. The Parking area is fairly small. There are a few restrooms there, not super clean, but helpful when you need them. Awesome scenery. There drive up here was very pretty and the roads were narrow and windy. There's a $10 fee to enter red meadows valley, where Devil's postpile is.

Park was closed for the season. Hiked for 7 hours- beautiful but all facilities were closed and no cell service at the lower basin.

Never actually been, but I've wanted to go. I wanted to let people know to check with the Rangers or NPS website before you head here. I was here July 4th and the road was still closed due to snow. Most any Yosemite area Ranger will know the status of the road.
