This lake has provided my family and I a great time! As I have went during the summer, the views you can still get from this lake provides great pictures for you and your family. In addition, my dad would always want to go back to this lake and keep kayaking around the lake! The pricing for kayaking about 1 hour was about $30, but definitely worth it! The water was very cold but still very swimmable. Overall, one of the most fun lakes to go to around Mammoth!

We had the beach to ourselves during the sunset and the sky lit up with beautiful colors
The parking is free and the June lake drive is a must do in this area
The lake is spectacular for a swim or any boating activities and the campgrounds were packed during the night

Beautiful beach, stunning views, calm waters and lovely locals. We visited here as a chill day from our back to back road trip. It’s absolutely stunning. The water isn’t too deep, which is perfect for families who want to paddle. It’s very clean and has no rubbish.

Amazing!!! Beautiful clear water! There are picnic tables on the side where you can eat or just take a blanket and umbrella to the sand as if you were at a real beach! The water is not very deep so it is perfect for everyone kids to adults! You can also take floaties or kayaks!

I went 2 years ago around June and the water was very cold. I went 2 years later in August and the water was not as cold as it was 2 years ago in June! I’m guessing it was because in June the ice was more recently melted whereas in August it has had time to warm up!

Also, I took my pet tortoise hahaha

Gorgeous Frozen day at the beach at June lake. It was awesome. See the pictures attached to this post, the afternoon sun was beautiful on the ice it was snowy and you could see where the ice and cracked and refrozen it was so great. Anytime you get up there just do it!

Beautiful beach for am amazing blue lake. The water wasn't too cold, perfect for a sunny day. The beach does get crowded on weekends but there's plenty of space to call your own. Parking was ample as well.

Absolutely stunning. Photos do not do this place justice. I was blown away by the beauty of this lake!! I have heard it is not dog friendly but saw multiple parties with their dogs so maybe the beach is dog friendly just not in the water. Either way, this place is a must see.

Wow. Honestly one of the most gorgeous places I've seen on Earth. The water is so shallow for a very long distance so you can wade in rather far and feel like you're in the middle of the lake with only your feet wet. There's no shade (like any beach) so bring an umbrella. We saw families launch their kayaks and some water floaties. And we saw some baby deer friends on the way in.

Very cool beach. We went in July and it was pretty busy. It was a hot day so we expected it. It's free to go to the beach even if your not camping here so that was a bonus. We had quite a bit of wind and I'm not sure if that's normal or not. The water was cold and clear and there is a good amount of space to play around. The ground seemed to be all pumice rock so don't expect sand. There were a good amount of people in the water and in little kayaks. The restrooms were nice and clean. We will be stopping here again for sure

June Lake is one of the most beautiful places I’ve been to here in the Mammoth area, the weather was incredible for summertime, the lake was nice for swimming in and it felt so calm and peaceful here. On this cloudy day, the view of the mountains was breathtaking. My family and I had an unforgettable time here, I will come back soon!

June Lake Beach is one of my favorite lakeside beaches in California. The only problem is parking. If you don’t get up really early in the morning you will have to walk a really long ways down the hill. I like to get up early and steak spot out near the restrooms. The water is really clear the view is spectacular and there’s a good chance you’re going to see wildlife. June lake and the Eastern Sierra is truly a hidden gem in California

Omgosh this place is a gem! So peaceful. When we were there, we talked about how great it would be if we brought our camping chairs, bbq grill, and books to relax at this place. It would be such a great destination for a weekend getaway camping trip! But unfortunately, June lake does not allow camping overnight :"( There is a campground very close by though, but they are closed during the wintertime.

We visited June lake in mid March, and surprisingly we could still see lots of snow on the mountains, and also big patches of ice by the lake. The views were seriously incredible. I honestly loved the walking path from the parking lot to the beach, it makes walking at the beach less sandy and much enjoyable. I thought that was super thoughtful. The only con would be the wind, I think it's because it's surrounded by the mountains, so it can be really chilly and windy.

All in all, such a beautiful place. Would recommend to dress warmer if you plan for a visit during the Spring. Not to mention, it's only 20+ mins or so away from Mammoth lake. Def worth visiting!

Excellent staff at the entrance. Well worth the $10 dollars to enter the park. It's very beautiful and very clean.

Its beautiful , nice and clean. The water is cold gets deep enough to swim and shallow enough to walk across if you wanted to. We would have stayed all day if the coronavirus wasn't around , too many people started showing up so we left. Will definitely be back again.

Beautiful, pristine lake with crystal clear water. My wife and my 2 dogs visited this lake on our way back from Lake Tahoe for a quick 2 hour stop in September 2019. We didnt go through the June Lake Beach parking area but instead parked at the Oh Ridge camp ground visitor parking and took a short hike down to the beach. We saw others drive down to the beach into a dirt lot through the Oh Ridge camp. It was quiet and peaceful for a Thursday afternoon and the water wasn't cold. There were people walking their dogs and fishing. Dogs were jumping in the lake and enjoying the amazing lake. Will come back and camp at the lake next time!

Wow! If you come here, you will love the absolutely crystal clear (but cold) waters of this stunning spot. A hidden gem surrounded by mountain peaks. And if you didn't know better, you might think you are in the alps. Follow our adventures @SLYSTRX
