Austria Hof Lodge

Austria Hof is an amazing hotel that I have visited many times over the years. The location is perfect, with the ski slopes just across the street. The view from the balcony of most rooms is breathtaking, allowing you to see the mountain in all its glory. The restaurant is a highlight, serving delicious food that keeps guests coming back for more. It's so popular that it's always a good idea to make a reservation. The hotel rooms are clean and well-maintained, and the staff is always friendly and helpful, making your stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Austria Hof to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Austria.

Great Austrian-inspired lodge. Fantastic service. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful - especially Larry and Grace! Dinner was excellent - try the Jaegerschnitzel. Clean room and comfy bed. We’ll be back.

Great place to stay! The staff who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, nice, and spacious. We had no issues parking, and even though there’s no AC, we were plenty comfortable with the windows open. We greatly appreciate that there was a box fan in the room to help pull in the fresh air from the window. We didn’t eat here this time, but maybe next time. We would stay here again. Thanks so much!

Nice place. Unpretentious and friendly. Comfortable and quiet. Great little bar and charming bartender. We had dinner elsewhere, but another patron raved about the osso buco and highly recommended the restaurant. We'll be back! 😊

About to spend our 3rd December ski week at the Hof, need I say more? Ok, fair price, great location, comfortable room, friendly staff. No resort or cleaning fees and family owned. Fun bar and good restaurant on site if you are lucky enough to get snowed in!

Bennett was so nice. The service was amazing. We had to move out of the bar because we had a 17 year old but the wait staff made the transition so nice and comfortable. It’s how people deal with “challenges” that show how great they are. Literally, the best service I’ve had in a very long time. Don’t remember everyone’s name but everyone was very accommodating.

Staff was lovely and super helpful from the person that helped us check in/out to everyone that works in the restaurant.

The room we had looked very modern, featuring an electric fireplace. (My pet peeve is all brown and outdated hotel rooms and this one was definitely not that!) There was also a little fridge, microwave and hair dryer which are always a big plus!

We had dinner at the lodge's restaurant twice and the food was lovely. I am originally from Europe so I was happy to see some traditional German and Hungarian dishes on the menu because it reminded me of home. (The goulash was delicious by the way and the soup of the day is always a great idea for a fast and cozy option, especially after a day of hiking).

They also have a jacuzzi out on the terrace available to the guests until the evening.

These are some of my usual issues with hotels and this one was no different in these regards:

The pillows and duvet are the kind that feel very synthetic and not breathable that make it very uncomfortable to sleep. They had an extra blanket in the closet that we ended up using instead of the duvet and that made it much better.

The shower head is the kind that you can't pick up and move around which I find really annoying. I just want to be able to get water wherever I need it to go lol.

Anyway, that sums up my thoughts. Even though there were a couple of things I didn't like, it wasn't enough to make me give it less stars. I would definitely stay here again. 😊

This Hotel was nice and the staff were very friendly. It's right at the top of the street next to the lift, if You wanna go up and have some snow sport fun. They have a complimentary breakfast which is a perfect grab an go snack in the a.m. Banana bread, hard boiled eggs, fruit etc, easy food. Which works out perfectly considering we did a lot of hiking and kayaking. The restaurant and bar are Great, delicious food! The smells coming from this place in the morning are soooo Good. It's cozy and was just what we needed. There is no elevator so You'll be walking up and down stairs. That really isn't a big deal though. You're fairly close to everything in town without being right in the hustle and bustle. There is also a hot tub if You want a soak and a few trails near by. I would say the parking lot is small, but we had a spot each night we came back from our hiking. All in all a very decent hotel, again with a Nice staff. I'd go back again for sure!!

Clean rooms, close to the village, grab n go breakfast included, free wifi, free parking, ice machine. Overall i’m happy with my experience and will recommend this place for family and friends for sure

Hotel staff were very nice, the fireplace was a nice charm. Not to far away is rainbow falls and devils post pile worth a 2-3 hour trip from the hotel. On top of that the food was very good. I ordered the pork belly and it was fantastic. 10/10 would stay here if I was in mammoth in the future

Great hotel with great service...Jacuzzi is an added bonus after a long day of hike/cycling around..breakfast should be more professional with respect to what you pay..nice view of snow covered mountains from the Jacuzzi

Great location, lovely staff, and a nice breakfast spread included! Room was simple and clean, so perfect for a mammoth early-ups weekend. Restaurant downstairs had an extensive menu and beverage list. Bartenders were great and the food was awesome. Walk to the lifts, ski right back to the entrance. 2nd floor outdoor hot tub looking at the mountain. Shower in the room takes a bit to heat up but it's worth the wait. Thanks so much folks. My first time there and I will for sure be back again soon!

Absolutely loved our stay here. Excellent room: clean, comfy warm bed with lots of pillows, we selected the room with the jetted tub, totally worth it! The restaurant has killer food, too. Everything we tried was delicious. Very quiet location tucked back against a mountain, you just have to be careful not to leave any food in your car because the town has resident bears! My only complaint about our stay here is that they didn't have more availability so we could stay longer :)

Didn’t stay here but had dinner! It was great! We ordered an array of appetizers and all were fantastic! The staff did an outstanding job! AH is experiencing a shortage of help, much like everywhere. The minimal staff this night were awesome!!

I'm here at the moment and just wanted to say that I absolutely adore this place. the front desk was exceptionally kind and gave us ana amazing room. You can see the chairlifts from the balcony. Just be aware, we were on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator. With the high altitude and probably too much luggage, it was a bit of a climb. Totally worth it, however.

We stayed in Mammoth Lakes for a night while traveling through California. My husband found this place and we are so glad we stumbled across this restaurant! We got there during Happy Hour. While there was a selection of German beers on tap we had never heard of, my husband and I were extremely pleased with the beer we tried. Bartender was very helpful in selecting a beer to our taste. And let me just say, the food here is amazing!! Forget what our items were called but our taste buds were dancing the whole night!

We stopped in just for dessert and some drinks. We ended up getting the baked brie and a couple glasses of wine, all of which was superb. The staff was also very friendly despite is not ordering a full meal and offered us another free bread bowl (which we gladly accepted). Definitely worth stopping by if you are in the area!

What can I say? This place was like the greatest thing EVER. The rooms are nice. They have an outdoor hot tub with view ofMammoth Ski resort. You can park in the parking lot for the resort and just walk up to a lift right there at the hotel. The have a legit AMAZING German food restaurant the basement with a cool bar that reminds me of my days spent in Germany in my youth. Friendly staff, ski storage area, access to the mountain that is basically like sleeping 100 yards from a lift and chalet. Totally a must stay.

Check in was smooth and quick. The room was right next to the reception and you could hear conversations, but we hardly were in the room during the day so it wasn't a problem. I honestly had my best sleep at a hotel here...which is rare for me. Comfy matress and having the box fan in the room gave us a nice white noise. I felt they took covid serious and I felt safe. Would go back again for sure.

Very nice, clean room with our favorite German restaurant below. We'd definitely stay here again.
