Wonderful dinner on our last night at SV Resort. I had the Idaho Ruby Red Trout and husband had the Chefs Cut. Both were delicious. Great service and wine recommendations. Reservations required.

Fine dining done right. Delicious truffle fries! The chef's cut of the day was done to perfection and the service was 5 star. I had been traveling hard all day and Gretchen's was just the place I needed to relax with a drink and scrumptious meal.

Delicious dinner and good service. For drinks I ordered their version of an old fashioned which was quite good, my wife had their Lavender Mocktail with Grey Goose vodka added. For dinner we had their chicken curry and baked cod.

Great service, Caesar salad and Kale salad — excellent; chili very good, as was stir fry

Burger + truffle fries is a must! dessert was great too 🔥 great service sitting on a comfy couch in the lobby 😎

Because this is so convenient in the Lodge it becomes the de facto back up dinning option. Having had several meals here under such conditions I have say the meals always have memorable parts. Tonight it was grilled salmon on a bed of mushroom risotto. The salmon was moist with a crispy top and roasted fennel. The mushroom risotto was one of table members favorite but for me it was the fish.
A great key lime pie with mango sauce was happily shared also.
Not all items were as well liked and it's a somewhat limited menu but it can be a nice occasion

Pleasantly surprised. I usually would avoid resort/hotel restaurants, but the service and food were excellent. During summer, the terrace is an amazing place for a cocktail and a bite to eat. Valet is free and I recommend you show up a few minutes early to walk around the grounds!

To be totally honest, even though we were visiting this area for only a long weekend, we ate at a few places and ALL were outstanding!! Like the rest, Gretchen's menu was very comprehensive, food delicious, service 5-star, and the whole place another establishment to relax and hang-out. If you happen to be passing through Ketchum or Sun Valley, loosen your belts, sit back, and enjoy the hospitality and tremendous cuisine each establishment has to offer.

This literally is the best food that I've ever had! We've eaten at some major 5 star restaurants in Vegas, LA, Seattle, Boise and Gretchen's still smashed my top spot! We went there for our anniversary. The waiter was phenomenal, he brought a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate our anniversary. We both ordered the specials, I got the halibut and panchetta risotto.... OH. MY. Devine! Definitely going back!

Really fresh and expertly prepared food, but the incredible service is what made this such a memorable experience for our family. Joseph went well out of his way to make sure our 8 year old son felt like he was having the most extravagant dining experience of his life! He's still talking about it over a week later. Highly recommended.

1st time I been there & wasn't disappointed. The food was superb & the waitress we had was very kind. She let me taste the wine 4 free, since I only like sweet wine & she made sure I had gluten free rolls. I recommend Gretchen's Restaurant highly.

Steak was great..cocktails were solid and the service was prompt. Can't ask for much more. Inside of SV lodge is really cool with lots of historic photos. Will definitely be back.

Had a great lunch at Gretchen's. Wagyu burger was delicious, but the Mezze Plate was the biggest hit at the table. Tangerine chili olives, hummus, beet tapenade.....soooo good.

Phenomenal food and drinks, beautiful atmosphere, top notch service. An absolute must for your Sun Valley trip!

Mushroom pizza is my absolute favorite and it's beyond amazing from here.

I went for breakfast a few times - the food was lovely and the menu has a set of vegetarian and gluten free options as well. The wait staff is excellent and friendly, and the pricing is also competitive with other local restataunts!

Great atmosphere and incredible food. The chef really has an amazing menu and selection. Can not wait to try it in the summer months as well.
