This is a great little state park that has easy and beautiful trails along oak creek and the surrounding area. Just outside of Sedona so a short drive that was great for us on limited time. The cost is $7 a person and it goes to the good cause of maintaining our parks. Staff here was friendly and helpful and there was a nice visitor center with clean and well maintained facilities.

It's hidden underground so look for ramp heading down from parking lot into completely hidden building. Restrooms down there too. Paths are very easy good for non-hikers. Beautiful views. It's small.

Gorgeous park, very clean. Horse and biking trails available. We saw wild deer roaming around in December. The view up top is beautiful! There is also a river and a very cute gift shop and nature center at the main entrance

Loved the visitor center! From the outside, there's a scenic overlook spot and you can see the red rock mountains. Then, you can continue down to the red buildings of the center. There's a small theater that plays an informative movie and you can cool off there. There's also a display area and restrooms/water fountains nearby. The main area has a gift shop and as you continue down a small curved ramp, there are some displays about the wildlife of the area. Very interesting and well-maintained center. :)

Red rock state park - the fossil is everywhere and you can touch it with hand but while walking you must pay attention in every red rocks you pass by.

It's a beautiful park with gorgeous scenery. The only thing wrong is that their website needs a lot of work because we came there to do some filming at the wooden bridge over the lake that is shown prominently on their website. The park ranger told us that the wooden bridge was torn down over a year ago.

Took the nature walk with volunteer Charlotte. Very informative. Saw petroglyph, Oak Creek. Continued on our own to the Fire House and then the Javelina trail. Beautiful trails and views.
