What an amazing feat of nature. It's incredible something so beautiful exists by random chance. The hike is about as easy as it gets with minor uphill and a slight "rock climb" if you would even consider it to be that... More like rock stairs really, near the end right before the Bridge. The bridge itself was moderately packed with people and the trail had a lot of traffic, but everyone seemed to be in a very uplifting, positive mood. All in all, I would rate this 10/10 experience!

If you don’t drive or take 4x4 vehicles, just want to have trail hiking, don’t be mislead by the map, just walk in the 4x4 unpaved road. Easy trail and just a little claiming before the devil bridge, not difficult. People are so nice and friendly to get in line waiting for taking pics at the bridge, don’t even worry about go alone, you still can have your fantastic pics. 10/10 recommended trail to hike and enjoy.

Great hike up to Devils Bridge. We got lucky and didn’t have to wait at all for photos on the bridge. The views are amazing and so worth the steep climb at the end. If you are afraid of heights it’s not the place for you. I’d love to do this again!!!

This is a must hike trail! We started at Mescal trailhead to get to Devil’s Bridge. Please make sure you’re in appropriate hiking attire! We saw so many people in jeans and boots. The only boots you should have are hiking boots/shoes. We ran into several people that didn’t have or have enough water so also make sure you have enough to stay hydrated, especially when it’s hot! We went in August. I would recommend getting to the trail before 6am to get a park and beat the crowd and the heat! Also be mindful there are so parts of this hike where you will need to crouch or get on your butt and climb. If you’re afraid of heights or scared to climb this hike is not for you!

Fairly easy hike in from the trailhead if you're OK shape. If you can't drive to the TH, get some stretching in pre and post. Lol.

Towards the bridge, there are some upward climbs and 'stairs' to navigate.. but nothing too crazy if you're careful. Once everything opens up, the views are spectacular. Take them in.

The bridge itself is really cool and not at all scary to get out into.. It was very busy the day I was there however.. so depending on visit day, be prepared to wait for your photo op.

Regardless, worth it.

Really fun hike. Nice soft red dirt to walk along. We camped overnight and got up at 5am to hike. There was already 10 cars parked by 5.15.
Everyone was super respectful at the lookout taking photos of each other etc.
we took our dog on a leash, the rocks at the end are totally fine for an athletic dog.
The bathrooms were also very well kept.

A must do hike if you’re in the area. It’s begins with an undulating unpaved shared road trail that leads to a walking only section. The elevation gain starts to steadily increase after that, before you reach a small technical section at the end. There are a few stops on the last section for some good photo ops.

The view is definitely amazing! But You need to line up to take pictures. During the Thanksgiving holiday, you need to wait for about 40 minutes or an hour. I just remembered it was a long time.It is very windy and you need to wear thick clothes.

Arrived early to ensure parking space. Got there at 6am. It was too dark to start walking but still glad we planned to get there early. Hike to the bridge was 1 hr and 15 mins! View was breathtaking. Great photo op!

First time doing this hike and we loved it! We started about 10 in the morning and we’re out by 1. Even though it wasn’t so hot yet we went through a lot of water bottles. We took the trail to get there and the road trial to get back. The trail there can be challenging if you have any kind of knee problems. The final stretch can be a little challenging if your scared of height since you have to go up and back down some rock steps but if you can do it it’s totally worth it! The bridge itself is wider than what it looks like to take pictures. Just don’t look down! Jk you will enjoy the views in every direction.

Went here on a Wednesday morning. Google only leads you to one certain, really small (free) parking lot. Pretty sure there’s another lot available that offers some more space. It’s pretty far away from the actual Devil’s Bridge Trailhead, so don’t let those online-blogs / brochures fool you into believing that this is just a short 1-hour hike. RV parking here is almost impossible; we got there at about 8:30am and it was PACKED - we got lucky that there was one spot that became free right when we got there, and that our RV fit into that spot (R.I.P. to the bush we had to run over to fit in there). Free toilets are available, but no sinks or water-refilling-stations.
You‘ll have to take the Chuckwagon-Trail from here to get to the Devil‘s Bridge. The trail is great, but as always, remember to wear good & comfy shoes and bring water and snacks!
The bridge itself is awesome to see & perfect for photos. You‘ll have to wait your turn, but it’s worth it!

This is a must visit if you're in the Sedona area. (This and Cathedral Rock were our top 2).

It's 2 miles to get to the bridge and then 2 miles back. The hike is mostly flat and simple until the end, in which there is a short but steep climb up to top by the bridge.

I did this with my 5 kids, ranging from ages 5-13, so it's definitely possible for younger ones, although make sure to keep an eye on them by the cliffs and narrow edges. (That part was a little stressful)

(Sunset pic was from trail on the way back to the car)

Overall, you gotta check this out in Sedona - 10/10

So it’s a 2 mile off road trial back and forth if you have a 4X4.
From there it’s around 3mile back and forth.

Off road vehicle recommended for best experience including the trial walk.

A bit rough path but once you reach the bridge the view is astonishing. Took us around 45’ to reach there from the parking lot with a really cool pace. There are signs in the way that you need to have a gallon of water with you. Definitely you’ll need to go there with daylight. Water and fully charged phone battery are essentials.

Not a bad hike. Did with multiple kids under 10. Get there early is my only suggestion, so you don't have to fight for parking. Be patient when you get to the bridge and everyone will get their photo

This trail is longer than some people have stated. It's an hour one way from the paved parking lot at a good pace when you go by trails (not hiking the 4x4 road). There is some serious elevation gain on the last part after you get the the 4x4 road parking and continueon to Devils Bridge. As you go up the last portion, there are choke points with narrow rock "stairs" where people coming down interchange with people going up. There are places where you can pull off the trail to catch your breath, but there are no benches, railings, or bathrooms.

Review just for the unimproved road: you need a lifted truck, a Jeep Wrangler, or a UTV to drive up this road. I personally saw a stock Toyota Tacoma 4x4 get super close to being high centered just off the pavement. He hit his undercarriage hard. Please don't listen to the other reviews saying take your car etc with "no problem" on 4x4 road. I did not take a picture of that rock outcropping, but here are some other photos of the road.

This is about mile and half long train but if you are in Sedona for couple of days, you must do this one. Most part it’s easy to walk but when you get closer to Davil’s Bridge, it gets tricky and hard. The last few meters are steep and stairs like so if you have kids or older ones with you, you may need to provide some supper to get them finish the last part.

Took Chuck Wagon trail from the lot instead of the road. Absolutely you should do this. The road is totally boring, and the trail that runs next to it is stunning.

Now for the bridge, as someone afraid of heights, this was a piece of cake! Too thrilling to be scary. There is some steep scrambling to get up there but nothing really terrifying. I didn't plan to go out on the bridge, but I did and it definitely doesn't look like a drop off for the first half anyways, right up to that tree. There were a lot of scaredy cats up there, and we all survived.

Was lucky to go on a rainy day with very dramatic skies. It was also not busy at all when I was there at 1/2pm. 🧛🏼‍♀

It is very challenging so do your research before going. Proper preparation is a must. Moderate too difficult!!

We took the trail route 6.5 miles 3hrs totaling. Don't let the beginning walking trail fool you. It's easy until you get to the bridge area with the steep/difficult incline all the way up. I advise you to hike at your own endurance/fit level and take breaks as needed. This hike is very challenging so know your physical fitness level. Bring more water than you would usually drink, dress appropriately, wear gloves for the cliffs/rocks climbing, knee pads, hiking stick and pay close attention to the weather. If it's summertime this hike is best done between 6:00 -10:00 a.m. finishing by noon. If the temperatures are above 75 to 80°, this hike should not be considered in the late afternoon in the summer months when the temperature rises and the heat index is excessive. I noticed lots of people that clearly were not prepared for this hike along the way. One gentleman got to the top and passed out, there were plenty of people that ran out of water, or dehydrated, were weak, lethargic and lacking electrolytes. People please take this hike seriously and when reading reviews do not listen to those reviews that say this is an easy to moderate hike if you're not an experienced hiker it's difficult. To be honest this hike is dangerous/rugged so please know before you go. I would not recommend taking your dogs on this hike, I saw dogs just falling out of extreme exhaustion. I AM A EXPERIENCE HIKER AND THOUGHT PEOPLE SHOULD KNOW THIS. To summarize it was beautiful scenery and the bridge was priceless.

Absolutely amazing. This is the reason to come to Sedona. Breath taking views!!

We drove our rented jeep off road to the beginning of the trail and hiked up just in time for the sunrise. I would do this hike a thousand times over!
