Yesterday's Family Restaurant

Was in the area last couple of weeks on business and ate here 3 times (would of been more but we found the place late and they was closed for their normal days) Everything we had was delicious. From the fries green beans, potatoes skins, meatloaf, country fried steak, shrimp fettuccine (was my favorite), and even the pies. The service was superb, staff friendly and personable. Highly recommended. Oh yea have to try the pork wings, those are a treat.

Excellent fried oysters, onion rings fish (rockfish) & chips! Worth the ride to Montross from Fredericksburg. Very clean, great staff!

Best seafood, best service. We were headed to the Outer Banks and happened upon this place, and had to stop. So glad we did, their seafood, especially Oysters were a 10. We will definitely be back. We would be there lots if we were closer,(we live near Smoky Mountains in Tennessee )

Definitely a place to save if you are ever in the area. We loved the cozy atmosphere, the sweet and friendly service, and the specials we had for an early dinner were delicious. The country cooking style of the sides were just right, and the Steak and Rockfish we ordered were cooked to perfection. Thank you for the experience.
We are really glad we stopped down the road for gas, and were pointed to this place. Good people.

We stopped here for lunch on the way to Kilmarnock. The service itself would’ve earned five stars. The food was beyond — we had both fried chicken and oysters and the breading was light and crispy. We also enjoyed the french dip sandwich with fries. Recommend 150%!

Delicious and fresh food. I ordered grandma’s meatloaf, and I also tried my friend’s buffalo wings. Both were so good. Overall, an excellent place to have lunch with family and friends.

We finally stopped by when driving through Montross and were pleasantly surprised. Our fish and chips were delicious with the rockfish tasting fresh and coated with wonderful seasoning. Our server was friendly and caring. The restaurant and restrooms were clean and homey. We'll definitely return in the future!

Great food, great prices, excellent staff! Very welcoming, love that you can sit on the covered porch in warmer weather.

We traveled from Baltimore Maryland for a family vacation to Hague Virginia.
We came across this restaurant when searching for a place to dine for dinner.
We were welcomed by our waitress and the rest of the crew. Our waitress (Kyra) and another waitress named Hannah made sure we had what we needed. They carefully and attentively took care of our orders.
The food was absolutely AMAZING!!!! The service was prompt, courteous and super friendly. We felt so at home and knew we were in good hands.
Five stars across the board for this restaurant and the staff!!!
Oh, and hats off to the chef!!

I ordered there on Saturday and the food was delicious!! This isn't the first time I have ordered from there..the past couple of times have never been a disappointment. I always order the same thing which is the GRILLED SHRIMP AND FISH dinner. And i love it!! Nelson asked had I tried the "honey salmon" (i believe thats what its called) lol.i told him no,and he highly recommends it. So im gonna take his word for it and try it my next go round!. Hanna is such a sweet heart,she makes me feel welcome every time i visit. This was my first time meeting Nelson and Emma,and they did an excellent job while I waited for my food. (I ordered to go). Can't wait to try the "honey salmon".. maybe next time i can meet the cook,Thanks again!!

Stopped in the other night after our granddaughter's band concert. It's under new management, and we like what they've done with the place. Great food! Had the stuffed rockfish, and my wife had the honey glazed salmon. Both were excellent, as were all the sides. Service by the wait staff was very good. We will be coming back.

Great restaurant with friendly staff and excellent food. The decor has been recently updated to give it a lively atmosphere and the menu offers a good variety. We had salmon, ribeye, and stuffed rockfish and everything was fantastic. Maybe using something other than an I've cream scoop to serve the mashed potatoes would be good, but that is the only criticism I'd have to offer. If you haven't been here lately, it is definitely with a visit!

The food was amazing ! Very clean restaurant and friendly atmosphere. I found Yesterday's on my Garmin while travelling and it did not disappoint.

I heard that the restaurant was under new management and decided to give them a try. What a great positive experience!
Warm, welcoming service from beginning to end (I was pleasantly surprised we were served by one of the owners).
Food arrived quick, everything was cooked right and seasoned well. Both me and husband had their “complete meal” and thought it was great value. My personal favorite was fried shrimp (cooked just right with thin crunchy breading - absolute perfection!).
Last but not least - deserts were very tasty too!
We’ll definitely be back and spread the word, as this restaurant has a bright future and we’re excited to see what new menu items they’ll bring

The food is excellent! We are from Louisiana so we set a high bar and Yesterday’s cleared it. I had the BBQ shrimp, and while different from Louisiana BBQ shrimp they were still very tasty. The full meal can with a small appetizer, entree with potato and veg, and a dessert. Delicious and affordable. Service was quick and courteous. We will be back!
