Mona's

Stopped in tonight because I passed this place a few days ago and their sign and colorfulness caught my attention ... the reviews are so positive and so accurate! This establishment is 100% positive vibes and chill....I came by myself but forced my corgi to tag along....we hung out on the patio - just us two- and enjoyed the peacefulness of the night (it was midnight) and the good music playing. Jason, the bartender, was so cool and welcoming! The other guests in there were so chill and friendly. This place deserves all the hype it receives. I can honestly say that I really will be coming back just because the vibe is so chill and I felt welcomed. 🤍 Important piece of info that I had no knowledge of until it was too late - if using a card to pay, $10 min payment which is 100% normal BUT TIP CANNOT BE LEFT ON CARD PAYMENT. So please have cash on hand to tip your bartender. I felt so embarrassed and Jason totally tried to make it a non-issue but to me it is an issue...that's his livelihood and he deserves all the tips! This is a great little spot and I'm really so glad it exists!

It's such a cute spot, can't miss the pink building. Once you're inside, there is a very eclectic feel of decor, and I absolutely love it. Even better on Sunday's Jason mixes up one of the best Bloody Mary's in Fort Lauderdale and at a whopping $4.50! Can't wait to visit again.

A little jewel in the rough. I’ve lived in Ft Lauderdale for 14 years and never been to this bar. My cousin and his husband took me there and I’m so glad they did. It was warm and patrons were very friendly.

The bar has been open 20 years. Josh, The new Bartender Tommy and the Owner are awesome. They welcome you right away as if you have been going to that bar for years. I just relocated here from southern California and I have to say this bar is awesome. It's your neighborhood cheers bar. The drinks are reasonable and strong. The atmosphere is awesome. This is the place to come and have a few after work.

A friendly neighborhood bar with great patrons. I went alone and had a great time talking with the locals who frequent regularly. Was my first time and not the last drinks are very reasonably priced spent less than 20 bucks for a night out not bad!

Everytime we've visited the area, its been hard to find a nice neighborhood bar. Most places are more like clubs. We were so glad to find Mona's. Everyone - the staff and the clientele- were so cool and welcoming. Dean was the best and the bar back (I sorry I never got his name). Dean went through the history behind the furniture and some of the art. It was a little out of the way but we're so glad we made the trek!

This place is a very awesome and relaxed place. Went with a friend. Everyone is nice and friendly. And they have where you can play pool, which is great.

Sundays are my day to visit Mona's for one of THE BEST bloody mary's you can ever find in Fort Lauderdale. Ask Jason, the handsome bartender, to make it spicy with the cucumber vodka for a refreshing change. You get a stalk of celery, bacon, olives, cheese, ham, a hot pepper, and shrimp, if you want it. The locals are friendly and if you're nice, someone may even buy you a shot! Fun times had by all at this great bar that has been around for 24 years. You've driven by a million times, but stop and see what you've been missing.

What a fantastic gay bar! It is perfectly divey with an open air patio attached. If you get the chance, go.

I've been living in Broward County around Wilton Manors for over 4 years, and I just found out about Mona's bar less than a week ago.

I'm embarrassed! It's an absolutely pleasant and quiet place. On Sunday late evening, the bar is almost empty, but everyone is open to conversation, making new acquaintances, and having a pleasant evening.

I recommend this time for a visit to those who aren't looking for loud music, noisy crowds, and entertainment programs.

I'm glad to see both old and new acquaintances there. Bartender Dean was nice and sweet. I would love to go there again and maybe try karaoke night.

I didn't know that it was a "gay bar" when I showed up but the staff and patrons were extremely inclusive!! I highly recommend this establishment to anyone who wants to visit a bar as long as they are openminded and respectful. I will absolutely visit whenever I am in the area as long as I have time. Both staff and patrons were great company and respectful. Definitely a professional establishment and I wish them future prosperity/success.

As good as a neighborhood bar can get. Friendly bartender and regular clients that greet you as you walk in. Feels like home.

Great staff and good fun. I love all the ventage decorations and flashbacks of a time that has passed. Helps to never forget where we came from.

Fun local gay bar straight friendly has nice pool table and patio smoker friendly, locals are friendly and bartender very attentive to your drink needs no dart board only complaint but other than that fun atmosphere and fun music Monday night is free pool night!!🤩

A cute, homey bar where you can smoke inside. I smoked my stogie, munched on some chips and enjoyed the oldies.

If there were a category of bar known as "gay dive bar", this would win. Lovely place, amazing bartenders, friendly patrons, relatively cheap drinks. Not many options for beer drinkers, but otherwise stellar in every way.

What a lovely place. I was visiting the area and saw that this was near where I was staying and decided to stop by. I don't usually go to bars, especially by myself, but from the second I walked in I was greeted with nothing but super friendly faces and interesting conversations. The bar tender was incredibly friendly and the people there were all so kind. The hospitality here was such a nice change of pace compared to a lot of places around there. I was even invited to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal there(I couldn't make it, but really wanted to)! Thanks to everyone who made my visit so fun and I'll definitely come say hello next time I'm in town. :)
