Lightning Auto Recovery

This place is a bunch of thieves. My car was brought there for a short period of time. I went to pick up my personal belongings about 10 hours after the car was picked up and brought to this place, Lightning Auto Recovery...and 75% of my personal belongings were missing from my car.

When I asked them to please return my belongings they told me that they would go back behind the walls of their office and "review the photos that they took upon receipt of my car" - meanwhile just 15 minutes before I showed up I was told that they COULD NOT access the inside of vehicle and take inventory UNTIL I brought them my key - SO they couldn't get my stuff out or take inventory until they had my key - SO MY QUESTION IS ... how do they have photos of my property if they couldn't access my car until I brought them the key? I asked them this same question and they had NO ANSWER. They said they could not show me the photos of my property either - which if you ask me is because they didn't have photos of what was in my car and they stole it all.

I had just done some Christmas shopping and when my car was taken from in front of my house. I had over $1000 worth of brand new - in the package gifts.

They told my finance company that they gave me and had me sign an inventory list of what was in the vehicle, which NEVER HAPPENED. I never saw any inventory or photos, nor did I sign ANYTHING approving any inventory of what was in the car. So they are outright liars and thieves., because non of this exists and they had no inventory of photos.

If you have the opportunity to not deal with this company, DON'T. Unfortunately I, and most people will not have the opportunity to choose the company - and for those of you who are stuck dealing with this company as I was - you will more than likely be robbed so you have been warned.

Very horrible disrespectful company and unprofessional. I was threatened by the workers there. I had over $300 worth of merchandise stolen for my vehicle it looks as if somebody had vandalize my car. The inside was horrible the outside was damage. I was calling all sorts of names outside of my name wasn't show any type of consideration. Lightning recovery needs to be closed down for good because the way the business is being ran is very bad for the public and unsafe.i have posted a picture how they handle your property when u go to get it. I had a very flammable lethal chemicals in my car they dumped everything in a plastic bag even after I told him that if these chemical spill and they are mixed together that they will explode they still missed handle it with care.

P.s no matter how your car is taken from you repossession order or being just regular towed you still need to treat people like human beings yes is our own fault that I our car do end up being repo but at the same time for people like me who have made arrangements to go back and retrieve their car you don't want to retrieve the car because Lightning recovery damaged it knowing that it wasn't like that before or your property being stolen. That makes it bad for the loan companies that is the doing business with these people the people that wants their car and you make the proper arrangements that is needed for you to retrieve the car back it makes it really horrible experience to even deal with.

This towing company deals specifically with repossession of vehicles in South Fl . They have absolutely no a.c or fans , no seating and would not permit me to use their restroom (I'm pregnant). I had to walk several blocks in an industrial area to find a restroom , consume air conditioning , as well as use an A.T.M for their "storage fee" that they only accept in cash . By the time I got back , I started to develope an heat rash . I normally don't post reviews but these conditions made me very concerned . Also they said it would take about 3 hours after payment for release was made for them to process our papers . I spoke with a rep whome said it should never take more than 30 minutes. You have been warned . :(

I had a similar thing happen to me. Went to get medicine out of vehicle and was returned empty pill bottles. One was a pain medicine for an injury I just had. I had taken 2 of the 60 pills...guess they sold them on the street! I take responsibility for the fact that my auto was repo'd but it does NOT give them the right to take my things. I really wish there was recourse but it is my word against theirs! Sad - they will get their day!

Warning!!! **TAKE PICS BEFORE AND AFTER!!! Damaged rear bumper...because it was backed 3 inches into a chain link fence, only once the car was released and was able to pull forward to inspect damage, noticed it had been backed not only into the fence but had been backed over a large rock which took a large chunk of my bumper out...of course they're denying all responsibility

Lighting auto recovery Reposed a vechile and upon recovery of the vechile found out that my 6 year old daughters little pinky bank containing her savings in the form of small bills and pennies was emptied out. Great Job! What an honorable company!!! Hope those few dollars and pennies got you real far chumps. Shady business

Went to get items out of vehicle only told AFTER they took item THEY WANTED that was all of my items. Said that vehicle came in with window down. Pillage through my personal effects again TOOK WHAT THEY WANTED and left me items(2) a stand and av cables that was in the bag of a bag in the vehicle THAT THEY TOOK IT OUT OF. Never told me the vehicle's passenger window was down when it was towed in....BULLSHIGGTY!! THEY TOOK THAT ALONG WITH A PURSE AND CLUTCH. I SEE WHY THE HAVE BULLETPROOF PLEXI BETWEEN YOU AND THEM. THEY ACT SO NONCHALANT AFTER THEY GET WHAT THEY WANT OF YOURS THEN FEED YOU SOME BULLSHIGGITY THAT IT WAS NOT THERE OR WAS TAKEN BEFORE THEY GOT IT. HORIBBLE PEOPLE. I UNDERSTAND YOU TAKE THE VEHICLE BUT THE PERSONAL EFFECTS STILL BELONG TO THE PERSON YOU RECOVERED THE VEHICLE FROM. IF THIS IS A TRUSTWORTHY BUSINESS BEWARE! BEWARE! THEIVES MOONLIGHTING AS BUSINESS OWNERS. NEVER HAVE I DEALT WITH SUCH A SHADY BUSINESS AS THIS PLACE IS! JUST GIVE BACK PEOPLE ALL THEIR ITEMS TRASH CHANGE ETC...AND YOU WOULD HAVE TO TRY TO PROTECT YOURSELVES WITH BULLETPROOF PLEXI.

They quote the law but are extremely ignorant of it.
Misquoted fees and got extremely frustrated upon any questions that would provide information.

I came in just to pick up a tag took them forever you could see them laughing and playing with eachother where the desk were, this place is like a circus run by children!!!!!!!!

These people are careless with your car they lost my tag and told me that's my problem really disrespectful staff clearly don't like their job need to be closed down

Son unos ladrones no los recomendaría cuando te remolcan el carro las cosas de valor que tengas desaparecen y después tiran las fotos por dentro del carro para decir que no tenias nada de valor

They are thieves would not recommend when you tow the car valuables you have disappear and then pull photos from inside the car to say you did not have anything of value
