I have lived in this complex for 2 years and it has been wonderful. The front desk staff is kind and personable and they really make an effort to learn names. Any time I have had to make a call to maintenance/service, someone has been sent up to my apartment within the hour to fix whatever issue I am facing, big or small. I would not want to live anywhere else in DC. The location is amazing, but the staff is what makes this place truly great.

I miss living in this apartment building so much! I rented there for about a year. The staff at the Leasing management office were always friendly and available to help. I felt safe! Older building but significantly more spacious than other apartment buildings in the area.

Was a resident for two years - from July of '21 until '23.

I was very pleased with my time there. I got exactly what I had hoped for when I originally toured the facility. My apartment, the laundry room, the gym, and just the building in general were clean and functional.

The staff were tremendous. Everyone from the leasing office, to maintenance, to the front desk were always incredibly polite and efficient. I didn't have a single negative interaction with anyone.

The area around the building was solid. It was safe and pretty quiet. I loved that I had a small market on-site and a handful of other options within a 10 minute walk. On-site Parking was a separate company, but was also great.

If I had one wish, it would have been for a more traditional air-conditioner setup. The setup was explained to me prior to signing the lease (so just ask them - no need to re-explain), but that last month waiting for the building to turn over from heat to cold could be rough.

That's it though. Really a solid place to live. I though I paid a good price for my one-bedroom with plenty of space. I was pleased with my decision and would make it again.

I've been living in Columbia Plaza for 8 years now, and overall it's been a great experience. The building is spacious and boasts a beautiful view, and the management staff have always been good. However, I have to say that there's one receptionist, Datra, who's not the friendliest. Despite my efforts to be polite and engage her in conversation, she never smiles and can be a bit rude at times. I'd like to kindly request that Datra improve her attitude towards residents and be more polite and welcoming, as it would greatly enhance the overall experience of living in this fantastic building. Despite this issue, I still highly recommend Columbia Plaza as a great place to call home

I have had an incredible experience here - 10/10, and don't plan on leaving anytime soon. I don't understand any negative reviews of this place.

I moved from Florida to DC, and needed a place that was clean, renovated, reasonably priced, centrally located, and safe. These were non-negotiable. While searching for a place to stay, I looked at 14 apartments for rent all across DC, and none of them met my criteria until I found Columbia Plaza.

Since I moved here almost a year ago, I cannot overstate how great it has been to live here. The staff is kind, respectful, and responsive. My studio is clean and renovated. The building is quiet and CLEAN. The people are kind working professionals or doctoral students. I feel safe and close to everything I need for groceries, or fun. Georgetown is a short walk away, as are the attractions. I do not plan on moving anytime soon, and have recommended these apartments time and time again.

Further, the leasing process extraordinarily pleasant.

Iris was the leasing agent who assisted me. ASK FOR HER! She was pleasant from the moment I called for a tour all the way through the lease signing and beyond. She makes it happen and goes above and beyond for your needs, and she seems to actually care that this process is transparent and exciting.

I wouldn't waste time looking anywhere else. Been there, done that..

I'm an international student who just applied a 2b2b apartment of Columbia Plaza Apartments with the help with Tia, who works in the leasing office of CP. She listened to my requirements and told me the information of the apartment I want once it is available. With Tia's help, I went through the application process, lease document assignment process successfully. I really appreciate her help, and regard her as my friend. Who took me for the tour in person, instructed me through the document assignment, and the most significantly, she helped to get the apartment with cost I can afford. I just felt like in home.

I was a resident of Columbia Plaza for 5 years and have enjoyed living there! Even though it's near the traffic and noise of the city, my apartment was cozy and spacious for a one bedroom unit, and I always felt safe in the complex. Not only do you get the luxury of living less than a 10 minute walk away from the National Mall and Georgetown, but every single staff member--from the cleaning crew to the concierge--knew my name and made me feel at home. The plaza itself has a dry cleaners, grocery store, and nail salon, which was very convenient if I needed to go somewhere quickly and not walk all the way to the closest spot. 10/10 would highly recommend to anyone looking to find a place in D.C.!

I have been living at the Columbia Plaza apartments since the past 5 years and love it here. It is a vibrant and happy community, with a mix of State Dept and World Bank/IMF professionals living here. Beyond your lovely neighbours, the staff are very helpful and maintenance crew will show up within 2-3 hours of making a request. They have replaced microwaves to change lightbulbs and everything in between upon request. The apartments themselves are very big and spacious for DC. The living room sizes are generous and typically 3-4 times bigger than living rooms at new buildings. The walls are sound-proof. The building could use upgrades with the windows (I face the river, and with the single-pane windows I can hear planes passing by), but otherwise everything else is in good shape. Talking of good shape, the gym has been recently upgraded with new equipment and you can get a decent work-out in here without expensive gym membership. Since the building is close to the metro, I don't own and park a car here but there seems to be ample parking in and and around the building. Overall, it has been a great experience to be here so far!

I thoroughly enjoyed my 3.5 years there. I was in the Diplomat Building on the 13th floor. The staff at the Leasing Office and Reception are great, the maintenance is immediate, and the common areas are always clean. Fantastic to have Columbia Mart in the complex, it has good wines and fills all urgent needs. Laundry and dry cleaning is a bonus. I am hard pushed to say anything negative because my experience was so positive and I would say I am a fussy and demanding person by nature. I love the fact that Whole Foods and Trader Joes is so close as I did not have a car while living in DC. I walked to work so it was fantastic. I always felt safe here, which as a woman living alone is important to me. Iris, the manager is warm and professional. I highly recommend Columbia Plaza. 9.5 out of 10.

So far my experience at Columbia Plaza has been great. Large, bright apartment in an amazing, convenient location. Maria at the leasing office helped me through the whole process and checked in with me even after I moved in to make sure everything was OK. Also, love that there is a front desk where packages get delivered. Used to live in NYC where I couldn't risk ordering anything remotely expensive to my apartment out of fear of it being stolen.

I lived happily in the Envoy building of Columbia Plaza for 7 years. While my appliances weren't updated, the apartment was very large and spacious with picturesque views of the Kennedy Center, two outdoor spaces, amazing closet space, and considerable privacy. I think the management company has been updating appliances as apartments turn over and had I asked they may very well have replaced mine. The staff of the building at the front desk, in the maintenance office and in the leasing office all were very friendly and quite responsive. It was a hard apartment to give up, and I only did so when I bought my own place. Having the coffee shop, grocery, deli, dry cleaners and ATM machine on site at the plaza also were super convenient.

I am a current resident in the Diplomat building and don’t plan on moving out any time soon! My apartment is very spacious with a large balcony and nice kitchen appliances. The apartment is a quick walk to the Foggy Bottom metro, as well as downtown DC. There are always zipcars available when I need one and the washing machine and dryer are clean and functional. When my apartment needed maintenance, I received help almost immediately - much quicker than my last apartment building. I love that I get texts and emails when my packages arrive and can quickly pick them up from the front desk attendants, who are both helpful and polite. The gym is pretty big for being in an apartment building, with a variety of different cardio and weight-lifting machines, free wifi, and is very clean. I would recommend Columbia Plaza to anyone searching for an apartment in DC.

The entire staff at Columbia Plaza are the best ! They made my move into my apartment and my living experience here in Foggy Bottom care free. The staff members are friendly and always willing to help. Columbia Plaza also has a very organized and efficient system of accepting, storing and notifying me that a package has arrived for me and this system notifies me via text and email. There are also several ZipCar vehicles on site when I need to rent a ZipCar vehicle. The washers and dryers are very nice and well maintained. I love Columbia Plaza and I love my apartment because of the great staff and their dedication and professionalism to make this a wonderful place to live !

I have been a renter at Columbia since 2008. It’s been a excellent location to view all of what the District of Columbia has to offer. The staff and maintenance crew are some of the best in the business. It’s not easy to please everyone all the time and maintaining apartments built in 1960’s can be overwhelming. Every call to service has been a good experience and handled in a timely manor. In the world outside of renting, try to get a contractor to your home to fix HVAC , plumping, garbage disposal, or electrical issues. It can be weeks or days before someone responds to your requests. I not going to create a bed of roses in this review, life is what you make it. In the 58 years of owning and renting I find Columbia Plaza a reliable and safe place to live for me and my family and I am likely to continue that tradition here till I retire.

I had the pleasure and most positive experience in living at Columbia Plaza from 2015 to 2018. My only motivation for moving was my decision to be closer geographically to my family. Columbia Plaza is the most well-run and managed apartment complex I have ever experienced. The support staff is exceptional. Columbia Plaza's location in the heart of Foggy Bottom is ideal. If I relocate back to the Washington, DC area, I will again live at Columbia Plaza.

Columbia Plaza makes you feel the most at home! The buildings, facilities, and amenities are excellent, and the staff is marvelous, kind, and helpful. I love the location from ease of Metro access to the National Mall (five minute walk). I was so sad to leave when I moved away. If I were to move back, I'd move back into Columbia Plaza.

Great location central to DC, timely and friendly desk/maintenance staff. And the complex communicates with residents often to give updates or notices of maintenance inspections/ and community developments.

Building is bit old but the location and accessibility gets all the credits for it. Amazing place to live in. Foggy Bottom metro station, GWU University, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, Kenedy Center, George Town and water front everything is at walkable distance.

Great customer service, very helpful leasing office staff, front desk staff, and even maintenance staff. The months leading up to my move and during the moving process itself, there was always somebody available to help me or answer my questions. Couldn't have asked for a better experience, so far!
