The Big Coconut Guesthouse

From the moment we arrived, it was a great experience! Matthew was very welcoming, provided a tour and helped us with luggage to our room!!!! Our room was very clean, with all the amenities needed for a week long stay! Matthew took the time to provide suggestions for restaurants and shops in the area! He took the time to walk with us to make sure we understood the area!!! The pool area was awesome with great lounging chairs and the water was heated. Coffee and danishes were provided each morning along with water during the day! Our stay was fantastic and will definitely return!!! Thanks for everything and for a great day!!!

Beautiful place and amazing staff. All the other guests were friendly and welcoming to us being first-timers. The rooms are not perfect, but you're not there to spend time in your room the entire time. Had everything we needed for our stay. Happy hour was great! The pool is amazing! The location is ideal for all your nightlife needs, only being a short Uber ride away. Can't wait to go back!

Repeat guest and I keep going back because of the overall positive experience. Comfortable and clean rooms, friendly and professional staff, breakfast and pool. Matthew is on hand to answer questions and clean the room. Jim handles happy hour on Friday and Saturday. Both are great guys. Easy walking distance to supermarket and liquor store, eateries just a little bit further. Easy to Uber to Wilton Drive or beach.

Very friendly little place with the best service. Matthew was very very helpful when checking in and with advice on things to do and places to go. He had a computer issue and since that’s what I do I helped him figure it out. He was so thankful. Glad I could help you out. Will be back and will recommend to everyone

Parents stayed here for a long weekend, the owners were attentive (Thanks for everything Dave!) and comfortable arrangements. Big Coconut even gave them great local recommendations and made them feel welcome from the start. We'll be staying here again whenever parents are in town!!

A hidden gem. It's close to yhe Wilton strip, easy to the beach, walkable to Publix. Rooms are stanard FL guesthouse style accomodati9ns. Pool is perfect.

Stay here for the location and the staff! I have never had more attentive hosts. They always go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. And it’s so close to everything in Wilton Manors. I can’t recommend this place enough.

The realm's for immaculate again the staff treated every like a welcome one the little touches they do really do payoff and our noticed.. the overall experience of this hotel felt like a resort more than a small 17 room boutique hotel... This is our hotel of choice y in fort Lauderdale staff and owner went out of their way to make us feel welcome yet again...
I travel a lot... If every property I stay at Westlake this it would be a blessing! They do not need any to change a thing they are solid on there foundation!
Personal service, first-class accommodations... And the upkeep and cleanliness of the hotel will keep us coming back again and again! ❤

We stayed at The Big Coconut Guesthouse for eight days and loved it! Great place!

First, the staff is amazing! While many of the customer-facing workers at restaurants, shops, and attractions in Fort Lauderdale were more than a little cranky and obviously didn't like their jobs, the guys at The Big Coconut were two of the kindest, most helpful people we've come across in our travels. They were there to make the guests happy and enjoyed doing it.

The rooms are super comfortable. The location is convenient. The opportunity to be buck naked all day in spotless surroundings can't be beaten!

The weekend happy hour with complimentary alcohol was outstanding. The drinks were delicious and just kept coming.

I'd make one suggestion that would have made our visit perfect. I would upgrade the breakfast a bit. It was just too plain. Maybe add breakfast cereal, hot chocolate, and hardboiled eggs...

Anyway, we had a super time at the Big Coconut Guesthouse. Thanks, guys, for an amazing eight days! When we return to Florida, we will be sure to make TBCG our central stop!

As always this was a great experience. Tom/Hazel and Matthew were amazing. Very accommodating for reservations. Have stayed here many times and will definitely stay here again.

My partners and I stayed here for two weeks in November. It was amazing. Everyone was incredibly friendly, rooms were very clean and the staff was absolutely charming. The pool was heated, and was generally quiet. We're three bears in our twenties and felt very comfortable being naked around the pool with the general guest being 50+.

There is absolutely nothing I would change. David and team keep up your amazing work, you have a gem here! Thank you for making us feel safe and welcome.

Such an amazing stay! Everyone that works here was incredibly helpful, kind, and understood what hospitality means. The room was spacious and spotless clean. All of the grounds were well maintained and really felt like you were in Key West and not just outside downtown Fort Lauderdale. I would highly recommend to stay here! We will be again for sure.

As a first visit for me and my boyfriend to this resort, I have to say, it was better than what we had expected. We were given a tour during check in, serves free drinks during happy hour, and the facility and room is just great. Oh! And the service was amazing. We kinda felt horrible having our rooms turned over, so we didn't get it done every day - but the staff was just so nice about doing it. (We do feel bad for the spray tan stains we left - sorry!) Tom, who greeted us, gave us the tour, and essentially was the one we talked to the most at the resort, is simply amazing. Funny, helpful and just goes above and beyond making sure you're all set. Tom, if you by chance get to read this, THANK YOU for everything you do!

The request we made during booking was also met happily, and when we decided to stay an extra day - although we didn't realize it would mess up other booking - David, made sure we were able to enjoy another day. Thanks David!

All in all, we couldn't have asked for a better stay in Ft. Lauderdale than staying here. The next visit, we're for sure going to be booking it at The Big Coconut!

Great location, very friendly staff, exceptionally clean rooms, amenities that go above expectations. From the moment you arrive you're made to feel welcomed. A very short drive to Wilton Manors also there is pretty much every necessity within walking distance. Publix Walgreens, liquor store restaurants (from fast food to fine dining) The room I stayed in had a full sized refrigerator and a microwave. Convenient if you wanted to go shopping for something like a salad or sub or if you have any leftovers from dinner to refrigerate and reheat.
The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel like family. The atmosphere is very friendly. I would highly recommend and hopefully will be back soon. Great Job to David and his phenomenal staff.

We arrived afterhours and the procedure for gaining access to our room was very straightforward. The following morning, we completed the check-in formalities very quickly with no rush to do so. The owner and staff are all extremely friendly and all go out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The accommodations and amenities are first class, and the pool and courtyard are extremely relaxing.

This was the first time that we have stayed there as we have tried various similar locations in previous years. I have no doubt that we will be back!

I was there for vacation. The room was massive and immaculate. I had the king with kitchenette. The staff was super friendly and helpful. It was seemingly to staying with family. The entire facility was kept clean. No problems at all. Great weather great stay. Thanks guys.

I just returned from my stay at The Big Coconut and all I can say is WOW! I chose the guesthouse because of its small size and great reviews, it did not disappoint! The staff (Hazel and Matthew) are so warm and welcoming. They really try to accommodate everything and do. It's a charming property, rooms are clean and well appointed. At 91°, the pool is always a welcoming delight. The light breakfast served is just enough and Tom makes a great drink at Happy Hour. It's a great location to Wilton Manors and some other hot spots. I personally loved the convenience of having a Publix and Walgreens within feet of the property. I will definitely be back, sooner rather than later.

Had a wonderful stay here! This was my first time visiting Fort Lauderdale and I’m so happy I chose the Big Coconut Guesthouse. The entire staff is beyond accommodating and truly went out of their way to ensure I felt welcomed and comfortable. The rooms and entire complex are well-kept and clean. Nightlife and beaches are a quick drive or ride share service away (no more than 5-10 minutes for each). Thanks for a great stay!
