Leesburg Library

I want to personally thank Ms. Melissa St. Louis-Curry for my guided tour. She is the Youth Services Supervisor and can be found in the Teen section of the library 📚. It was truly a pleasure visiting the Leesburg Public Library!

I didn't know they have a bookstore. Found some great wood carving books for my husband Today was 50% off day. Score!!

Very clean and neat and the staff was very helpful as I hadn't used the equipment to look for books in years.

We have friends who will recommend series of shows, and we stop by the country libraries and see if they have them for checkout... We do this while doing other errands, and it has been fantastic so far.

Attended a concert performed by The Plantation Lake Brass Band. Great Christmas time music. They had a great turnout. I hope they can do this again next year.

Beautiful, clean, well-organized library with the friendliest staff and awesome programs for all ages. They have convenient evening and Saturday hours, as well as seasonal events open to the public. We LOVE the Leesburg library!

Always love going to the Leesburg library! The staff is always nice and helpful and there's tons of amazing books; which they usually have books that came out not long ago and are always on top of getting the latest ones. They also have an amazing manga section, so if you're looking for graphic novels or manga I would definitely try looking here. One last thing I think is cool is that they have a section of video games you can check out. I checked out a game from the Leesburg library once because I was unsure about buying the game and it allowed me to play the game without spending the money on it.

Leesburg is so lucky to have this fantastic library! The staff is always helpful and friendly.

they have quite a selection. and if your looking for something particular, check their online catalog, sometimes it's at one of their other libraries in the county, and they will bring it this library, and they also have books on line. great place!

The "Spoken Word" program is wonderful at the library. Whether you're a writer of poetry or prose or just want to hear what others are writing, its a great place to hear and interact with a great variety of people and ideas. Each person has time to present their original works or readings of other works and then group discussions of same. Ages 18 up welcome...a safe place to present your writings and promote discussion!

I might be terribly biased but I truly believe that this is the best Library in all of Lake County.

The location is gorgeous and huge - two full floors dedicated to books! They have a ton of books, play-away audiobooks, computers for kids and adults, DVDs, frequent adult and kids' programs, meet-ups and classes, as well as an entire teen section packed full of manga/comics, anime, and video games for check-out.

The staff are always friendly and helpful; if you're ever unsure of something or want to know what all the library has to offer, just ask them!

There's also an attached book store that's run by the volunteer group, Friends of the Library, and is a great place to get books very cheap for yourself or as gifts. The store also happens to be attached to a coffee shop that's run by students from Beacon college! Coffee AND books?! Does it really get much better than that?

Lake County's libraries are truly amazing and often under-utilized resources; Leesburg's just happens to be the best of them!

A big thanks to friends of the library group for shows they sponsor and for manning the book store.

In person programs are returning, one of which I attended. It was good to see lots of families wandering through the stacks of books, games and movies. The computers were over half full and the staff was friendly and helpful. I saw some flyers posted around the library of up and coming programs, one of which was an in person escape room which was free, who knew?! It's time to download the online calendar of events and make some plans.

The Leesburg Library is great! All of the librarians are so friendly and helpful. They are ready to help anytime help is needed. They are so great with kids. Very nice and large library.

Plenty of parking space. Huge two story building full of books and computers to use. Has a book store and a nice restaurant. Plenty of activities for adults and kids. Employees are extremely nice and helpful. Also carry puzzles and movies to check out.

Love this library... Been here before when I was young. I do some of my schoolwork here, since I can't focus in my classrooms. Never had a problem here.

This library has a large selection of materials to check out and it's right across the street from Beacon College. The staff members there are nice and there's a little book shop near a hang out place for the students that sells food and beverages.

Leesburg Public Library opened in May 2007 and has a lot to offer the community. As you walk in, look up and you will see bells that play a lovely chime on the hour. Just inside the door on the left is the Beacon College Coffee shop. It's the perfect place for students from the college across the street to pop in and get a bite to eat or just some caffeine to wake them up before class begins. Most library's have a used bookstore and this library has a great one. The books are easy to browse and there is even a box of free books by the door. You can also buy a bus pass there, which is a terrific value to those who use public transportation. Inside the library, on the ground floor are the fiction books and DVD's. The children's section, Imagination Cove, is in the back next to the computers. There is a staircase up to the second floor where the nonfiction and reference section is found. There is also an elevator. At the base of the stairs is a touching memorial to a Leesburg High School graduate, Staff Sergeant Michael Andrew Bock, USMC, who fell to a sniper's bullet in Afghanistan on August 13, 2010. A bronze bust and framed memorial dedicated to his service are worth a look.

We love this library! Great programs for kids. Highly recommend.
