Great park for a nice relaxing walk in the shade of the trees. Beautiful land that is along Lake Griffin. There are a couple of boardwalks and absolutely gorgeous views of the water. Definitely recommend visiting this park. There is some good history here as well.

Very nice nature park and trails. Has a bathroom with running water and picnic tables at the parking lot and trailhead. Walking all the trails took about an hour. Saw a barred owl and baby alligator. View of Lake Griffin at fishing pier. Trails clearly marked with signs and blazes. Nice place to get out in nature.

Miles of shady walking trails. Nice place for a relaxing walk. Restrooms available. Cool old cracker house is like a mini museum. No pets.

We have lived here for more than 35 years, and we just found this lovely park right in the middle of Leesburg Florida. A wonderful place to visit to learn more history of our great town. It is worth a trip if you have not been there yet. I shot a few photos while we were there and glad to share them with any visitors.

A nice hidden gem in Leesburg. It has great trails and even a fitness trail. The bathrooms are clean and kept up. There is even spots to have a picnic. Great historical buildings to look at, as well as a view of the water. I myself didn't walk ALL the trails, however i plan on returning for another visit.

Live close by and just visited for the first time. Historical house on site (privately owned) and a cute little "welcome" center with lots of information. One of the trails was roped off, but the others were easy to navigate. Wasn't sure, but we brought our bikes, trail isn't really long enough for that. Good walking trails. MOSQUITOES!

Very peaceful setting with a few scenic nature trails. 2 historic houses sit on the property.

The old cracker house is one you can enter anytime during hours and has some historic info about the area. The rocking chair on the porch is a nice touch and I helped myself to some rocking time lol.

The other house is down by the lake(Chickee sign), with a short walk it can be seen and has a sign asking not to disturb the residents. Which I chose not to do and just enjoyed the view. :)

Spacious parking lot and public restrooms available with water fountain. Highly recommended if you're looking for a fun activity. No pets allowed however! Boo!

Great place for a pleasant nature walk. Many short, level trails 8-10ft wide that lead into the trees and foliage or to the lake. Some have benches if you are a little challenged by walking. A small historic house is open to walk through with a wealth of information and pictures. Ample parking and restrooms. A rewarding experience from a 15 minute walk to a pleasant, relaxing day in a green wilderness or lake setting.

This is a small park, but a very nice place to spend a couple of hours. The dock going out onto the lake is very nice. The little bit of history here is very nice. If you are looking for a place to spend a couple of hours in nature without driving far, this is an excellent place.

This was a nice little trail, not very long, tucked right away behind some industrial warehouses and mobile home parks, a little island of preserved history.
