Okasan Japanese Restaurant

Amazing Japanese food at an even more amazing price. We had the Okasan lunch set which was generous in portion. I had expected each side item to come in only 1-2 pieces, but they came in pieces of 4. Extremely reasonably priced. It was one of our best meals in the Sequim/Port Angeles area.

Oh my goodness! What a hidden gem this establishment is. The Korean food is spot on amazing! Be warned, if you order spicy food...you will get your money's worth in sweet pain. Authentic Korean food served here, so don't be shy to try a Korean dish. Do not be put off by the looks of the outside of this establishment. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Just can't believe such a bento at a price of $15.99! Its owned by a couple. It might take some time to pick up the food but the taste is worth it!

Been here twice on the way to visit family and the rolls are always so fresh and flavorful. The rolls are simple and are probably more traditional in style. Definitely the best moderately priced sushi I’ve had outside of Japan. You have to go to those insanely expensive places in cities to get the same quality so I highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in the area.

The Sushi alone is worth five stars. I'm a large Sushi admirer and I came to this little place only a couple days ago. The Atmosphere is fantastic, it's a small Restaurant in a small port town but inside held a lot of personality and history. Being inside, although I was an outsider was a great way to see how the town of Port Angeles was like. I felt welcomed and awe inspired by the location.

The Specialty rolls were well made and looked and tasted perfect. The ingredients were all of high quality and the portions and prices were perfect. The chief was skilled, prompt and courteous. I've eaten Sushi across the nation and this little Port town Restaurant delivered some the best I ever had. The Waitress was very sociable and did an amazing Job. She was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. She took extra time to get to know her customers and enhanced our dining experience, which is a rare thing I hardly ever see anymore, it was really refreshing. I only wish I could have stayed longer.

Okasan thank you for the fantastic experience, I hope to visit again sometime. I highly recommend to any traveler looking for a great sushi experience.

There is a smoked fish sushi roll that is really good if you like smoked fish try this. The only other sushi I had was a California roll. I got the order to go and the wait was short but it was after 730. It was good but needed more wasabi. There is a bigger menu I haven't got to explore yet but when I do I'll update this but I still give it 5* because the 2 times I've got sushi here it was good. The service is good the decor is really nice. Restrooms were clean. If you want sushi this is your place.

Okasen is wonderful! The wait staff are friendly, the food is delicious, the rolls are beautifully crafted and the prices are reasonable. We are out-of-towners, we have eaten here twice; once pre-pandemic dine-in and once take-out. Both experiences were lovely. We feel like this place may be a little overlooked because it is not in the downtown walking area, but it is well worth the less than five minute drive to eat here. Mr. Kim, the owner and sushi chef, recommended a roll to us that was fantastic (of course now I don't remember the name of the roll, drat!) Overall we had five rolls, gyoza, edamame and a veggie/prawn plate. We ate every little bit. We will be back and you should go too!

We went in to see if we can take out some food since it had a sign “take out only” to be not greeted and got a really cold shoulders from the owners. I was super happy to see Korean restaurant owners at Port Angeles. I didn’t get any service but I hope they do well in the future and survive this COVID/horrible economy. I sincerely hope that you guys offer better services to next Korean customer who come in your door.

My husband & I are retired & traveling the states. Can't begin to tell you how hard it can be to find a GOOD sushi restaurant in a place you've never been before....
Okasan is FABULOUS!!! The fish is so fresh & prepared beautifully. Enjoyed each and every roll we had. We also shrimp, octopus & sea clam.
I'd highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who truly enjoys sushi & sashimi.

Excellent food and service! The sushi bar has a great selection of fresh fish and a wide variety of rolls. The owners are very attentive to their customers. I highly recommend!

Easily one of my favorite restaurants in the Port Angeles Sequim area. They have a good menu with a mix of Korean and Japanese food. Their sushi and tempura are excellent, easily up to Japanese standards. I most recently had the bulgogi and it was excellent. I've been going here for around ten years and have been here hundreds of times and I have never once been disappointed.

There aren't many places to eat good sushi in this area, or sushi in general so if you love sushi, Okasan is here to help! Beautiful love and quality are put into the rolls and sashimi here. Alongside sushi are some delicious Japanese and Korean dishes as well. Small but very cozy ^^

For the area, it's the best sushi. I haven't tried any other menu items yet but they put the time into their food and it tasted amazing! Definitely recommended

Awesome sushi! I highly recommend you try the spider roll! Don't worry, no spiders lol. It's a soft shell crab deep fried and rolled up with avocado and it is excellent!

I love their food. The sushi is good and the okasan plates are well priced for the value.

I get lunch here once a week to go and it is always consistently great. I love their lunch special. It's a great price for all that it includes.
