A co-worker had told me he had a great experience at a furniture store in Dalton, when I told him about mine at Bates he said “Yep! That’s the one!”
Bates was extremely pleasant to work with and very helpful in finding the exact furniture we wanted.  We were looking for a specific brand of furniture (Homestretch) and a specific style of couch and recliner.  We had called and even visited a few stores in the Chattanooga area and none of them had the newer zero gravity line.  One store told us it wasn’t out yet, another told us it was discontinued!  We called Bates and they knew exactly what we were talking about, said it was a popular line, and that they’d have some in the showroom the following week.  They called us when it came in and we headed down.  Our sales person was very pleasant to work with through the whole process. Got a great deal too as they honored a discount my wife had made over the phone for Black Friday.  I’ll definitely be coming back when we’re ready to buy more.

This was my first stop to look for a few furniture pieces I need and I was very glad I went. Friendly people. And not pushy...just helpful to find what you are interested in. They have an excellent variety of inventory. Living room, mattresses, and motion furniture was downstairs and bedroom and dining room was upstairs. There was a good selection of lamps available. Clean and bright store!

Me and my wife bought our living room furniture from here about 7-8 months ago. The service is absolutely wonderful, and prices are great too. I didn't think about leaving a review for this business until today... A tornado swept through Chatsworth yesterday April 12th 2020. I had a unidentified number try to call me.. it was Bates furniture. They wanted to make sure me and my family were safe and Wondering if we needed any shelter or help cleaning up, that they were willing to do anything possible to help .. NOW THAT IS A GOOD CHRISTIAN COMPANY. God Bless.

We went to this furniture store, Andy Matthew knew exactly what we needed!! Such a breath of fresh air when someone isn't just trying to sell you anything just to make a sale. He was genuinely taking the time to find what we needed. He helped us pick out fabric and everything. Amazing customer service! Everyone is very friendly and kind! Would recommend this place to everyone! We just got our sectional and it has exceeded our expectation! Thank you Matthew and Bates furniture!!

I've been a customer for gosh, I don't know how many years and I can tell you if you want to deal with good Christian people that will do everything in their power, to make sure that you are happy with your purchase "Bates Furniture" is the place to shop for all your home needs. Just to let you know how great they are, I purchased a reclining sofa at the end of last year and for whatever reason it started giving problems. I called and Harold came out to check it. He then called the manufacturer and they in turn replaced my sofa. He took the time and when out of his way, something that no other company would have done to make sure that it was corrected. So I for one will continue to make, Bates Furniture my place to shop for my home.
