JD's Family Diner

Food was delicious! I had sausage patties, with two eggs over medium, wheat toast, potatoes and coffee. The coffee was really good! It was nice not to have weak coffee with my breakfast!

We had the best service here. The chicken salad I was about to order was a large salad the waitress told me so I was going to say no but she offered to make it a half salad which wasn't even on the menue!! I took her up on it. Also I had a Ruben, it's my go to when I am not sure what to order n it was great!!! I had never been there but I will definitely go back when we are in the area!! My husband had the chicken Condon blue sandwich and it was also delicious!! It was the best meal I have out in quite a while. Thank you so much ladies it was a great lunch!!!

Normally eat breakfast here and they don’t disappoint!!! Ground Beef Steak cooked medium rare with onions was perfect with a good portion of home fries and eggs.

If you hadn't told me this was a truck stop, I would have assumed I was being served a 3-star Michelin course by Marco Pierre White himself.

I was served the finest cup of coffee - a wonderful arabica blend, hot and fresh.

This was followed by a platter of the finest breakfast tastings. Eggs, lightly fried over velvety butter. The finest bread, toasted, served with an array of the finest jellies to sample. Potatoes, grated, fried lightly, and dusted every so slightly with salt and pepper. The finale - corned beef hash. The potatoes, chopped into the perfect cubes, intertwined and mingling with the rich and meaty flavors of the finest cuts of bovine.

The environment pulls you in with its subtle beauty. The diamond plating on the walls lets you know - they mean business. But the warmth of the waitress as she tends to your every need - it relaxes you. The environment is intimidating... Am I worthy? Have I climbed the societal ladder high enough to be amongst the diners who frequent this establishment...? Or did I just get lucky? These thoughts don't last long, as you are served delicacy after delicacy. You melt into JD's Diner. You know deep down it can't last forever, but you wish to suspend your disbelief... to stay in this culinary paradise for as long as possible.

They just added pizza to the menu, and it might be the best pizza place in town, and the waitresses are sweethearts. BBQ chicken pizza is the go to.

There was no one else there when we went but the food was good and hot and we were taken care of.

This stop offers alot and has a decent sit down place to eat.

Good food and great service! The rueben was really good, and the bread wasn't too greasy like a lot of other places. Will definitely be back.

Pizza is delicious!!!!! And the fact you can have a beer or mixed drink makes it even better.

I went in to the gas station and noticed that the diner was open until 10pm, which is nice because I work into the afternoon. The atmosphere is small diner, with TV to keep you entertained while waiting for your food. The restaurant has a small bar area with booths and tables to sit at. You can seat yourself so you rest after a long travel. Hostess and waitress was very friendly and accommodating. The food came just in the right amount of time where it was still hot. Checkout was very easy. I would recommend this place if you're traveling through and want to just sit down, have a cup of coffee or even a beer, order some food and relax from those long highway miles. Even if your not traveling far, this little diner is the place!

I have nothing bad to say about this place💪🏾 I walked in and was greeted right away! My coffee cup was kept full, the food was great and the people who came in to eat were just as cool. I love this place and I can't wait to return!

The blueberry and peach cobbler heated with ice cream were delicious. For lunch we had great food too. Nice staff and a good place to eat. Has a small bar if you are into that and many tvs on the walls.

Best pancakes next to my specials. Please stay open Sundays til 3pm We drove from church Sunday from Bridgman and you were closed. Wife and I were sad. We get out of church at 1or 1:30 pm. We really wanted breakfast at JDs. Came in mid morning, ordered 2 orders of 3 pancakes and bacon to go and half biscuit half hash browns for here. Gravy excellent but all the biscuit bottoms I got were burnt black. I told my waitress,no credit I still left a tip also. Cooks make food,waitresses deliver. Got home and the pancakes in the first order were dry and one of them were as close to black as you can get. Very disappointed.
