Russ Widder LCSW-C

Russ has been my therapist for over a decade for one simple reason...he’s the best at what he does. When you decide to see a therapist you can only hope that person is the right fit for you and you will feel comfortable opening up to them. I made that connection with Russ immediately. He not only listens and validates my feelings but he also offers perspective that allows me to make changes in my life for the better. Russ is flexible, accommodating and compassionate. He makes himself available and every time I walk out his door I feel stronger than I did when I walked in. Russ helps remind me of my own potential and in turn I’ve learned to heal myself in many ways. Russ is an asset to his profession and I would highly recommend him.

I've been seeing Russ for over four years now. I have had experiences with other therapist and none of them can be compared to Russ. From the first time I met with him I got an overall sense of comfort and satisfaction. It was very easy to define his genuine character and know that he really wants to help people with their life altering issues. He's had a tremendous positive impact on my life. He's given me the tools and the knowledge that was needed so that I could overcome my issues and live a happy and successful life. Russ changes my life with every session, and I guess that’s not really saying much based on my reasoning for seeing him. But his dedication to patient comfort and mutual understanding makes it impossible to be dishonest, or reserved with him. He shows me new adaptable ways of thinking and new, healthy ways to cope.
Russ does not have this job for a good check- he is sincerely caring, empathetic, and willing to help however he can. His objective perspectives on trauma, grief and pain’s effect on my daily life are something I look forward to every week.
He is loyal beyond anything I’ve seen in a therapist before, as flexible as he can allow, and forgiving for mistakes.

Russ was the perfect therapist for me. He helped me ALOT with an extreme phobia of bees/wasps and also helped me more than i ever thought possible on family matters. He was very down to earth and it felt like talking to a friend as apposed to laying on a therapy couch explaining "how that makes me feel" lol he had some unconventional ways of explaining things that resonated better with me and he truly untangled some of the brain knots i had so that i can live my best life on my own right path. My whole family is now considering/investigating autism and getting diagnosed, thanks to the path Russ lead me to. Before him, i never would have had the courage to ask this of my family or acknowledge it myself. Now i have the ability to speak my mind and also to obtain the help i need and my son has his official diagnosis and i am on my way to my own. Thank you, Russ!
