Because they serves your problems

They are basically an undergraduate middle man money grab. They do not produce any electricity. They buy it at the lowest rates possible because the Co-op in the name. The triple the price they buy it for and stick it to their 'Customers'. Not Customers at all. You are held hostage to do business with them and they hold you hostage for your Money and then treat you badly.
Very much like a Terrorist Organization is the best way to describe them.

The date is 5-23-20 a minor storm blew threw the town three hours ago! And the power is still out! By the way the sky had cleared up about 30 mins after the storm passed!! And to also note I stay on the north side of the town of New Roads! The service is NOT “quick” or “reliable” constant brown outs and unexpected and in explained power outages!! I’ve lost plenty of electronics with this company! Search elsewhere for power needs!

Terrible service and doubles your rates whenever any weather changes come! Worse area I've ever lived. No way a two day freeze doubled everybody bill. How the highest bill ever was 150 now 300 this is not right especially for the older people on fixed incomes, but they don't care about them and won't give any extensions we will be out of this area very soon!!!!

Outages last forever and their electric bill is ridiculous. I had Entergy at my other location before pointe coupee, Entergy is WAY better.

By far the worst Electric Co. I have ever had power stays OUT more than on I spend more time on my generator than on their power!

Horrible service. If I ran my company like this I would be out of business.
