Lisi Italian

This is the best Italian market and restaurant in town. As a matter of fact it is better than many in the world and I have been to many Italian restaurants. This place has it all in their two locations adjacent to each other; plus a great wine selection. In addition, their service is second to none. The entire staff is dedicated to deliver a great experience. You can’t pass it up.

Location, atmosphere, service, food and wine were excellent! The staff was knowledgable and generous with their time. It was a relaxed atmosphere of people you could tell appreciated the food and effort by the restaurant. The food was authentic but I think enjoyable for any Italian food lover. It was our first visit but will now be our go to Italian spot!

Quaint restaurant with inside & outside seating. Be sure to check out the specials, I had the spring pea risotto (pictured albeit missing a few ravioli). We had the fried meatballs to start, they were served in a marinara sauce. All of our food came out hot and was delicious.

This restaurant started small just before Covid shut down the Village of Pinehurst restaurants. It gad and out door patio and a small indoor room with a small amount of tables. They survived because their food was special and they went out of their way to show people they were grateful for their patronage.
Now they have expanded into other spaces in the building adding not only more tables but a downstairs bar. They have maintained the quality, improved their wine list and give a "Michelin" experience to each customer. Put this place on your bucket list.

Lisi Italian is such a special experience and a must-try in the Pinehurst area. The food is nothing short of exceptional - Italian food that is simple and delicious, reminding me of the dishes I grew up eating. The wine list is impressive in size and yet incredibly intentional in its selection.

The service is top notch, and I cannot emphasize enough to ask for recommendations, both in food and wine. Some of my favorite menu items have come from recommendations from the Lisi team. For example, looking at the menu, it would be unlikely that I’d pick the greens as an appetizer and yet they were delicious (thanks to a recommendation)! I will get them every time moving forward. Ask about the wine too, as there are so many options that you’ll be sure to find the perfect pairing.

If you’re in town for lunch, make sure to stop by Lisi Market for some of the most exceptional sandwiches you will ever try. The chicken cutlet with pesto and evoo was so good but the Italian meats sandwich is a classic as well!

Augie’s is fantastic too (once again, ask the staff for recommendations) and is the best place to end the evening with friends. The cocktails are fantastic and the ambiance and decor are perfect for a relaxing night out.

It is clear that Lisi is a labor of love for its owners and employees. The owners and staff just make Lisi feel like an extension of your home. Simply put, Lisi is the kind of place that, as soon as you walk out the door, leaves you counting down the days until your next visit.

I'm so addicted to this place. The only thing I'm not absolutely fawning over is the pizza (don't recommend). Every pasta dish is phenomenal. Every appetizer is the best one. I wish I could afford to eat here every night

This restaurant deserves a five star review for a number of reasons, but my favorite reason is the braised beef in tomatoes over polenta. This was tender and PERFECTLY FLAVORED. Thr polenta was especially amazing and buttery tasting. My only request is to add more veggies to the dish. The wine list was extensive and we enjoyed a great bottle. My husband also really enjoyed his soup and veal parm. We ate outdoors, which was a treat, and the heaters and lights made for great atmosphere. Service was strong and the honeycomb Gelato made our a tasty finish.

We were in Pinehurst visiting family and they insisted we have dinner here. They were not wrong! Everything was amazing! From the wine selection to the main course they were on point! We were a big group and they managed it with impeccable service. I highly recommend this spot.

Came recommended and did not disappoint! Ally was amazing and overall service was excellent! We all loved our dish (and the bread as well). A must stop for anyone in or visiting Pinehurst.

Excellent authentic Italian cuisine. We sat outside on the patio and the atmosphere was very relaxed and enjoyable. Our service was impeccable, and I highly recommend it. They only take reservations for parties of six or more.

Everything was great! We had a great meal here, including the Bolognese, zucchini parm and shrimp scampi. Would definitely come again! Michael and Cynthia were great and provided us with great service.

Portions are big enough for lunch the next day. My wife got large fresh shrimp in her scampi and flavors were excellent with spices not overstated. Tough to find good Italian food in this part of NC but this place is a 9 out of 10. Good service. We will return.

Nick Brown the evening manager does an EXCELLENT job managing his support staff to ensure that the food is always delicious, on time and the patrons are treated like royalty! My wife and I drive 45 minutes from Raleigh because we LOVE Lisi's restaurant for all of the reasons stated above. Tom & Marie Crudele

Absolutely loved the food. We had a mixed group including some vegetarians, and everyone was very happy with what they ordered, plus we all shared and tasted. The wine list was exceptional. And the service was friendly, helpful, and quick, especially for a weekend evening. Can't wait to go there again!

Man what a find!!

I just got back from Tuscany and I can say that Lisi’s food is on par with anything I ate in Italy.

This is a fabulous restaurant.
A must try for anyone who loves great food and happens to be spending some time in Pinehurst.

Multiple visits to confirm my initial visit have only served to confirm the truly exquisite food offerings. Flavors, variety and portions are off the chart. Worth a wait.

Best Italian food in town. The pepperoni pizza with hot honey is amazing. Don't forget to order the cannoli for dessert! Also check out their newly opened market in the theater building for fresh baked bread and other staples. The market also has sandwiches at lunch for takeout. I highly recommend the chicken cutlet. It was delicious.

The food was all amazing. We had an appetizer, entrées, and dessert and it was all phenomenal. The cannolis were some of the best we’ve had. Service was great and the host Michael was awesome. He checked on us a ton throughout dinner and was very helpful. Thank you Michael!

So good. Popped in and sat on the patio. Got a handful of entrees and a pizza for the table. Everything was delicious and they'll be able to serve liquor soon - just beer and wine right now I think. Cameron, our server, was great.
