Country Maid Fudge

When I walked into this is shop it smelled so good! They offered samples of the different flavors of fudge. I decided on chocolate peanut butter fudge. I don’t think I could have mad a bad choice. Everything looked and smelled delicious!

October 19, 2023 update - our number one fudge store in Cheokee...friendly staff and great fudge. First post.
Needed some fudge, so before leaving the area, we decided to go and get some. That place has the best fudge and have been going there over the past 10 to 15 years. They just finished making divinity, ohhh so good. A must stop while in Cheokee NC.

Came upon Country maid Fudge shop randomly while walking down the street. Very friendly owner who gave us samples to try out before purchase. Handmade fudge and ice creams did not disappoint. Must visit if you are in the area.

We drove from Gatlinburg to Cherokee to purchase fudge and divinity here from the two sisters that bake the best fudge around. Highly Recommend!

Owner was extremely nice and helpful, he let us try samples of all the fudge. Everything we sampled and purchased was delicious!

Oh it was so Good. My only complaint was that I couldn't make my mind up on what kind of Fudge I wanted. 🤣 They were so very nice & let us watch them rolling it on the table. Highly recommend

Best fudge in the area. Buy 2 get one free. A favorite stop. My friends look forward to getting goodies from there. Recommended.

Absolutely the best fudge I've had since childhood (I'm 53). The entire experience and quality was beyond exceptional.

I've had my share of fudge in the years I've been around and this is some of the best fudge I have had.

It melts in your mouth, very creamy and flavorful.

I bought three pieces get one free.

I bought the cottontail which is peanut butter, caramel and marshmallows.

Sea salt and caramel chocolate fudge.

Cookies and cream

Chocolate and peanut butter.

I am very happy with my choices and I am extremely happy he uses JIF. 😋

I also ordered one white chocolate and one chocolate pretzel rod.

Three white chocolate and three chocolate covered cherries.

A very nice man who owns the place, says he's been there 43 years.

Although this has no reflect on his business, as far as his business goes..... The parking lot was very messy and when I pulled up it gave me a bit of a shady feeling.

Fudge is amazing. They also have some amazing BBQ sauce.

Made a mistake by dropping in here on a whim.....now I have yet another place with goodies that I love that I'll crave and have to travel to. LoL.

I love how they swirled their peanut butter and chocolate fudge instead of layering it and there was a good amount of both so one didn't take away from the other. That's rare and made the fudge very good. I also enjoyed the texture.

I also had the giant turtle and giant peanut butter cup. I loved how the chocolate snapped but also had gooey filling inside (peanut butter for the cup and caramel for the turtle). Texture heaven. LoL. Very satisfying and delicious.

Free fudge samples already laid out for whomever wants to taste. Extremely inviting, helpful, friendly staff.

$27 for 1/2 lb of fudge, a very large turtle (like the size of my hand), large peanut butter cup about the size of my palm, and a chocolate covered twinkie.

Will be back to try more things for sure!

Usually go to Heavenly Fudge but they were closed. Decided to try this shop. It was delicious fudge. We decided better actually. Will be back here. 8.25 lb. We were able to buy a 1/4th of pound of 2 varieties. Rocky road and chocolate pecan. Like old fashioned homemade. Probably will shop here in future.

A wonderful shop with awesome fudge made right in front of you and a superb staff tops it off

Called to see if the shop was still open,or closed for the season The person that answered the phone was very helpful, cheerful, & pleasant, answered all my questions and more ,:) Will diffently be visiting this shop in the next few days,...BTW. The person on the phone was the owner his name was Ed very nice man

Fudge samples were amazing. They hVe some good toffee also! Staff were extremely nice. And they also have one of those collector penny squishing machines.

My husband, 2 granddaughters, and myself had ice cream and it was great. It was fresh. And decently priced. The fudge & chocolate coveted cherries were awesome. The lady who waited on was so sweet & very nice. Will definitely visit again.

The staff was very helpful and the fudge was delicious. They make it in front of you, free samples let you try the different flavors.

I only eat fudge from this one store. And until I find Peanut Butter fudge that taste the same or better (I don't think that's humanly possible) then this will continue to be the only place I buy fudge from. Only down side is that I live in Charleston, SC so by the time I get home I'm so sick I can hardly move because I've usually eaten close to a pound on the way home 🤪🤢🤮 it's ok though, I always buy 2-5 lbs when I go. Sometimes I share (but not usually 🤫🤭)

This place is a must when visiting Cherokee NC. Their fudge is amazing!!!! The salted caramel is my favorite, but they're all so good. 😋 The turtles are the best in the area and they have some great sauces and rubs of which you can sample for free before buying.

Great candy and prices beat the rest of the candy shops in that area. Very friendly staff!
