Beautiful home full of some very interesting history. My daughter & I were in Southern Pines shopping & she took me to the Weymouth Home because she knows that I love history & touring old(er) homes. We weren’t able to stay long & see this one due to we had my granddaughter w/us & they had some writers working at the house that day. But what I did get to see of the home — it was just beautiful

This place is peaceful and beautiful. We were married in the gardens here and it’s the first place we walked the dog when we moved to town. Holds a specials place in our hearts. They have many events here throughout the year and is also an important literary location in NC. Writers hall of fame of nc maybe?

Really gorgeous grounds hidden away in southern pines. Lots of walking trails and pet friendly, this is a great place to spend a day.

I love it here but the leaf blower noise constantly coming from the huge house next to the field ruins it.

The grounds are beyond gorgeous. Happily recommend to anyone who loves the arts and aesthetically pleasing gardens.

Beautiful grounds and a peaceful place to enjoy nature.

Beautiful space and beautifully maintained grounds. A lot of work and passion goes into this wonderful piece of history, and it shows. They constantly have educational and/or entertaining events, but it is also a peaceful destination for some solitude or a spontaneous picnic. Grateful for places like this and the people who keep them running behind the scenes.

Recently my family had my sister's Memorial service there and you couldn't have been in a more beautiful place. It is a wonderful serene environment that is warm and inviting.

Weymouth is the former home of the Boyd family, whose home and land have become a major contribution to the cultural life of the community. Weymouth Woods has well maintained and beautiful nature walks, as well a a nature museum and shop. It is well staffed and many opportunities for entertainment and education are available. Weymouth House and grounds on Conn. Ave. in Southern Pines has so much to offer that the visitor has easy access to information regarding events, etc. The grounds are beautiful and the Dirt Gardeners, a garden club dedicated to beautifying the grounds and offering goods and services to visitors, welcome volunteers and all manner of garden related donations for their periodic plant sales. Very helpful to newcomers in the area with thriving examples of growth, benefits, and beauty of our native species, as well as introduced plant material that has thrived here. Highly recommend.

Beautiful venue, went for an open air dance performance and loved how the performance utilizes the gardens there. Would recommend this venue for any open air concerts, weddings, dancing, small craft fairs or just to casually stroll the seasonal gardens and paths.

Marianna was so wonderful and accommodating for me and my photographer to come by this past week and allow us to take bridal portraits inside even amidst COVID. It meant so much to me and she was so kind and courteous in the process of planning to come by. It’s also a gorgeous house and has gorgeous landscaping outside. I highly recommend a visit/donation to this gorgeous property!

I recently visited Southern Pines and decided to explore this Center. I didn't really realize it was the home of the Boyd family as I had driven over for the NC Literary Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame is actually in what was an office, and all of it is well worth a few hours of time. The home is well preserved with helpful notes for the rooms as well as the Hall of Fame. Additionally, there are beautiful gardens out back that connect into walking trails. I not only enjoyed my visit, but was delighted to meet Marianna-the Office Manager, who is quite knowledgeable about the Center, the Boyd family, the Hall of Fame and the town itself. For those that live in the area, there appear to be many events at the Center, but again, its well worth a few hours if in the area. Really enjoyed my visit.

Beautiful gardens and peaceful surroundings. A perfect retreat for writers and a gem for locals so enjoy.

A beautiful place to host just about any special event.

This place holds a very special place in my heart so the review may be biased for that reason. In my youth the gardens were a place I took my dates to hold hands and be romantic. I rode horses in the Boys Track that boarders it and now I walk there with the family and my dog all year round. The whole place is a true jewel which I hope Southern Pines and the N.C. Park Service project and nourish for generations to come.

Weymouth is an absolute gem! From Sunday brunch on the lawn to intimate concerts in the sitting room, events at Weymouth never fail to impress. While these events require tickets, the gardens are lovely and open to the public daily.

Absolutely beautiful. We walk the dogs there and they enjoy the watching the wildlife too. We saw a beautiful young dear today 🌈❤. It was especially wonderful after the heavy rain this afternoon

I would like to keep it top secret! It is a oasis of calm, wildlife, and garden and natural beauty.

It has beautiful flowers flowers and a little pond etc. There are hiking trails here but I did not walk on them. Lovely place!
