My husband and I went here for the first time since we moved to the area. It is a small restaurant with a big taste. I had the fried chicken plate with sides and everything was so good and full of flavor. My husband had one of the specials of the day and he absolutely loved it. We will definitely be going back again soon. I definitely recommend going here for some good food

About everything you can expect from a countryside diner. Great food, good selection, and good service. The portions make you think your eyes were bigger than your stomach!

A classic style American dinner with delicious food & friendly service. We came here for a work lunch & left so happy. We had Greek salads & fried pickles. All the food looked great. This place is such a slice of Americana. A great Carthage gem.

We decided to go for a ride to see another town and by chance we found this restaurant. We had a delicious dinner the waitresses were very friendly and the food was delicious. The prices were incomparable and affordable.

I don't know what has happened but the last 3 times we went it was very disappointing. They don't have a lot of items that are on their menu right off the bat but then when you order they will come back and tell you that they are out of that as well. The wait staff are still wonderful but you can see the stress of not being able to please a customer is getting to them. The food itself is just so-so, used to appreciate their great home cooking but it is now sub par. Its a shame because we really loved the place, may do breakfast but definitely not lunch or dinner any longer

It was my first visit. We celebrated my bday there. The food was delicious. The dishes of the day made the decision difficult which to choose due to so many good ones. I will go back next time I am in the area.

Great place to eat. Good place to have a meeting or gathering too. Food was hot, delicious. Orders were right. Service was good.

Wonderful gem- Classic american family restaraunt. Great experience with staff. Food was great, prices right too. Our family will go back again. Easy stop after leaving Boy Scout Camp Durrant.

Family oriented, open flow dining, waitresses offered preferred seating upon entrance, no waiting. Menus were needing repaired due to wear and rear but easy to read, menus had numerous options, chalk board at the front of the restaurant had the specials; however, behind some of the customers and had to look over seated customers at the next table. Lastly, the vegetable/side options are located on the napkin holder on each table; however, the font is very small for customers who have vision problems. Recommend to create a larger print for the vegetable/side options. Otherwise, a great nice diner.

I had the fried catfish, Okra and baked potato. It was very delicious! And the portions were good. My niece had the broiled salmon, mac n cheese and rice with gravy. She said it was good! These service was exceptional!!

Great place to get a great meal. Staff goes out of their way to remember your name and your preferences. Extensive menu for a small town diner. Owner doesn't hesitate to come out and greet you with a smile. Love this place !!
